14:24.....One small fast ship with a few accurate "swivel" guns, could decimate the crew of a larger ship by slowly and surgically picking off the officers and the enemy up on the rigging and in the gun ports. basically, long range "swivel" sniping!, would have won the day!

Pirates were and still are terrorists. When caught, they were afforded a TRIAL, unlike the indefinite detention now-a-days. Only 1/2 of Black Barts captured crew were hung after a court trial before a judge.

@Dr1Canuckchuck Most of them didnt fly a skull and cross bones, that's a common misconception. Most flew plain black or red flags. 'Jolly Roger' is an English bastardisation of 'Jolie Rouge', French for 'Red Flag'. It has Templar origins.

The Great Pirates were the masters of the world. It puts a whole different spin on secret societies, and why maratime admiralty & UCC is so important in the world. He also said that since the GPs are now obsolete, they now specialize only in revenue and money, thus we now have an irrelevant Banking Class/Elite.
