The top engine produced 450hp, which today is still brutal, and accelerated from 0-60 in less than 6 seconds with 70's crappy tyres, totally stock. That's fast today, 40 years after. The fastest civic EVER (the 2006 SI) has 200 hp and o-60 in 6.8 seconds. In 1970 the civic (N600) had 36 hp. I don't think it reached 60.
