How long does the battery last for if the motion detector is activated? Will it record for 2 hours of motion or does it just have an overall standby of 2 hours?
Hi the whole device is sealed can't be known the exact notation of the microphone, in that case check with your PC's sound is switch on while watching it on the media player, otherwise it could be the faulty one, regards ElectronicPro
WHY DOES THE SPYCAM ALWAYS CLICK WHEN RECORDING, ALSO, I DONT SEEM TO BE ABLE TO SETUP MOTION DETECTION, I AM DOING ALL YOU SAY BUT IT STAYS ON RECORDING WITHOUT STOPPING. IS THIS CLOCK FAULTY. iansmile@hotmail.co.uk

Hi, don't think you can replace a stronger battery, as the cover is sealed, but if you managed to open the ocver you should be able to replace it, I once treid to convert a MD80 (Mini DV ) to a cellular phone battery which would last me 24 hours, but still it my personal modification, regards, ElectronicPro
Also is there a way to adjust the amount of time it records after the motion sensor has been activated? My computer will not install cd that comes with the clock.
These things are really neat, but it's so annoying that on all of the lesser priced clock spy cameras that they put a flashing led for various settings. Why? It's not much of a spy tool if it's flashing at people. The $300+ models out there don't do that. They should blink when you activate them, then no more after that so you can set them up to record covertly.
Please try to memorize the light indicator instruction on the manual, the frequent and colour of lights all indicates its specific status. Try to remember by heart. By doing so, would assist you to get similar with this device. Its a great gadget just need to play with it.
Thanks for making the instruction to use video with motion detetctor clear. The driver cd will not work with vista or windows 7, do you know how to adjust the time on the displayed video ?
#2 Place the tag.txt file onto the drive letter of ur camera by going to start/computer/camera drive /then drag and drop or copy and paste the file onto the drive letter.
Unplug the camera and power it off. Next time u turn it on the file will be accepted and the time and date will change.

Personally, I think blinking lights on spy cameras is a dead giveaway... Also the camera shouldn't be able to be seen in a really good spy cam.

Can you take the battery out and replace it with a stronger battery?
Example, you want the motion detection mode to be longer during standby mode (say, 1 full day or 24 hours).

If u cant figure it out heres the TAG.txt I made, just change the numbers to ur date & time.
Once the tag.txt has been accepted the camera will delete it, so u wont see it in folder next to DCIM folder anymore.

If I understand correctly:
1. To turn device on, press K1 for 3-4 seconds.
2.To turn on motion detection, press K2 for 3-4 seconds
3. To save recording and turn off, press K1 for 3-4 seconds
Is this right?
Thank you.

How to set the time and date:
The time and date you can change it by using the attached text file called tag.txt so open notepad and type this in as shown:
[date] Space/Enter
2010/01/01 Add your date then Space/Enter
12:06:20 Add your time
Save the notepad file as tag.txt
Now with the camera plugged into the USB there are 2 ways to add this file to the camera.
#1 Place the tag.txt file next to the camera folder named DCIM (this is the root of camera)
