i remember being a lad and seeing "mother" on mtv and wondering who the hell this danzig guy was. then, i got into the american psycho era misfits and loved them. so i bought the misfits coffin box set and i didn't recognize the singer... i thought michale graves sounded different... so i looked at the liner notes and bOOm! there was glenn danzig's name. and i said to myself, "oh... o.k., i'm a dumbass... danzig was the original singer/songwriter".
heres what Danzig is thinking in this interveiw. "Man i wish this chatterbox motherfucker would shut up, hes giving me a fucking migraine..sheesh! this is the first interveiwer that could turn a 4 minute interveiw into an 8 minute boring conversation.
Obviously Jim Morrison was very influential to Danzig. There's no doubt about it, as well as no shame about it. He admits loving Elvis and probably hesitates to admit liking the Doors because of the very similar looks and sound. Morrison was a big Elvis fan too so.. Full Circle?
Jim Morrison had a similar pair of sunglasses, I think he wore them around the "Morrison Hotel" days in '69. Plus the way Danzig looked down towards the ground with a little smirk all reminded me of Jim.

But the sound stuck with them from Samhain's Final Descent album(certain tracks at least;e.g. Death In It's Arms) to Danzig 4. After that, it went wherever he decided to take it.
