  • Do you need to be military police first in order to be this mos?

  • heading to Virginia this wednesday for sec.forces training oorah!

  • Just finished up with meps, and headed for boot this summer. I wanted to be 0311, however unless something opens up, looks like infantry jobs are gone for now. My recruiter told me if it doesn't work out, he can get me in security forces. I was curious if I'd still be deployed to Afghan, or just be stuck guarding some base in the states. I'd like to head overseas.

  • @tsuiter91 if your SF your forced to do Infantry for two years

  • @tsuiter91 Yea im in the same boat trying to get infantry, but if i cant im gonna settle for security forces. If you get security forces you still go to SOI then security forces training. You will be security forces for two years then get sent to an infantry unit for the next three. They will probably be deploying within a few weeks or months when you get there. You will be deployed.

  • @tsuiter91 dont go security forces if you want to be deployed to afghan however if you get stuck in security forces anyway try to go FAST you will get deployed not to afghan but at least youll do somethin else besides sitting stateside

  • shippin out oct 24th, i hope this dirty recruit can become a damned good marine. im trying to get security forces

  • I'm joining the usmc for this! Fuck yeah!

  • Do Security Forces deploy to Afghanistan?

  • Going to security force training Jan 28th, they said it's backed up... Just a week and a half for SOI XD

  • i want to be in FAST what are the chances of that happening?

  • marines don't need to talk shit cuz everyone already knows we are the best OORAH!

  • I just DEPed in. This was my first choice, I'm just waiting to see if I get a security clearance.

  • @carson0524 dont...trust me thought it was awesome...eh

  • @carson0524 whens your ship date?

  • @carson0524 whens your ship date?

  • @14woodyhockeyplr June 27th. My recruiter told me that A far kid has it right now but they're expecting him to get kicked out due to his weight. So I might be getting it.

  • @carson0524 ah i'm May 16th Parris Island

  • @14woodyhockeyplr Yea I am going to PI too. I would be shipping way earlier, but I am still finishing High school. I enlisted at the end of September.

  • PFC. M. Poole. How ironic.

  • Semper Fi. I was in MSFBnPAC and friggin' loved it. God bless all my Marine brothers.

  • Security force guys are fags, they come to the fleet(the real marine corps infantry) knowing nothing, they get put into leadership positions because of their rank and end up getting guys killed. Shame of the corps. They oughtta just get their own MOS.

  • @shorttimer09 did you not learn respect through your training

  • @shorttimer09 shut the fuck up dood what the hell do you know? security forces go to SOI just like the basic 0311 but there training doesnt stop there, they then go to additional security training before they go to fleet. mabye you shud think before u post another dumbass comment like that

  • @bobglad16

If you think you learned anything during SOI you must really be a boot. Lemme guess, you're still in security forces and haven't been to war yet?

  • @shorttimer09 listen man if ur an 0311 , then after SOI you get stationed at lejeune or pendelton until deployment, just prior to deployment you go to california for a recap on weapons training.. you do the same shit if ur security forces. except its a longer contract and your deployment is 3 yrs as opposed to 7 months for infantry. how about next time you know what ur talkin about before you start runnin your mouth u ignorant fuck.

  • @bobglad16

Haha, you call 3 years in Spain,Bahrain, or Virginia a fucking deployment? You fags see less action in you're first 3 years than I saw in my first week in Iraq.

  • @shorttimer09 first off i am an 0311 , i can guarantee ur not. your just a teenager talkin shit on youtube, stop runnin your mouth and get somethin better to do. if u didnt like the videojust say that and stop posting dumbass comments like that

  • @bobglad16

I see you avoided the subject. You are an 0311 technically, but you are an 0311...? I forget the special code that you guys get. I remember in boot camp we had the 0311UD,UC,U? The letters that came after 0311 specified who were the cowards that wanted to do something besides go to Iraq/Afghan and slaughter motherfuckers. You're DI's didnt think much of it, being that they were mostly pogues, but us true 0311's did, we did in boot, we did in the fleet, and we do as civilians.

  • @bobglad16

Now there you little faggot, let me ask you this...and don't avoid the question this time. Have you arrived to the fleet and deployed to a combat zone? Or are you still fucking off in some party zone?

  • @shorttimer09 actually security forces is 8152 not 0311. iam an 0311. an the only way to find out someones MOS in bootcamp is to ask them urself. pogues? i think u meant "POG" it means person other than grunt. again shows how much you know,i have not been to fleet because im still in SOI. another thing this isnt the army you dont talk shit about ur commanding officers. honestly man you have no idea what ur talkin about and u shud probroally quit before you embarass urself anymore

  • @bobglad16

Haha, you're still in SOI? Arguments over boot, shut the fuck up and prepare to be hazed. But i will leave you with this, Pogue Doesnt stand for personnell other than grunt. Because then it would be POTG, ya fuckin tard. Pogue is short for Pagot, which is filipino slang for prostitute. Just a little knowledge to impress you're seniors with before they beat the shit out of you and hogtie you. You're coming to the fleet soon bitch, be afraid, very afraid.

  • @shorttimer09 lol u have no idea what ur talking about no one says pagot ur just tryin to cover ur ass. ur not even a marine. give up

  • @bobglad16

The Marine corps sometimes crosstrains with the filipino marines, if you ever happen to meet one, ask him what pagot means. Or you could read Short Timers(Full metal jacket), where its spelled Poge.

Google it, its available online free. It's written by Gustav Hasford.

  • @bobglad16

POG is not actually an acronym. The reason many marines refer to it as so is because either:

    1. They're ignorant of its true meaning.

    2. It's a good way to cover you're ass if you just called a higher ranking marine a pogue to avoid getting charged with disrespect.

    Example:

Disgruntled LCpl: No 1st sgt, I didn't mean to disrespect that supply NCO, I thought it was just an acronym.

Probably smart to do so since the 1stSgt is probably a pogue as well. Anything else you need to know?

  • @shorttimer09 listen man i have not known anybody who says pagot, POG person other than grunt refers to either OCS officers or Marines who attend MCT instead of SOI. POG is also a dirogatory term and u wud still be fucked in the situation u described. i mean google man i just did and it said the origin is diputed but the current dictionary meaning is person other than grunt

  • @bobglad16

What dictionary are you referring to there devil nuts?

  • @shorttimer09 wikipedia ma borther

  • @bobglad16

You mean the same wikipedia article labeled "Pogue", dumbfuck?

  • @shorttimer09 yeah man the same one that tells you person other than grunt is the text book definition and how the philipino word for "whore" was always debated. its alright brother. y dont u quit pretending to be a Marine and quit talkin shit when no one wants to hear it

  • @NeoNaziMexcanJew actually no its not. its nearly impossible to get PRP, FAST is pretty much the people who didnt get PRP and over half of each graduating class does FAST.

  • im getting a secruity contract. i hope i get f.a.s.t.

  • MOS # 8152.....I serve with them right now as a FMF Corpsman. Been with em since Jan 2007.

  • how do you become one of these guys or whats the mos number because i have never heard of this but it looks awesome

  • It's just called Security Forces bro I think it was 0300 or something like that. I had no idea either but my recruiter hooked it up.

  • everyone should love all their brothers in the Corp they all have their jobs that come together.

  • Do Security Forces have officer billets/MOSs?

  • @asianwannabeamerican the only billet/MOS an officer would have is inspection. It would be a B billet because all security force/FAST companies would have SNCOS as their trainers and platoon commanders.

  • @asianwannabeamerican I was in security forces back in december 05 and got injured and ended up leaving chesapeake, VA (the base shown in the video) in mid 06..to answer your question my primary MOS was 0311 with a B-billet of 8152. training was badass

  • i got UW Security Forces - Security Forces with Presidential duty (working at the white house/camp david). PUMPED.

  • haha same her ship june 14

  • july 26 I got UV though still pumped though!

  • Or bangor Washington or Kings bay georgia probably one of those two

  • its not Presidential duty, just a poassability of being it, i have the same contract has you

  • and embassy's

  • yup, embassys too. as long as i can get my mom naturalized. otherwise its straight to the fleet baby.

  • I leave to MCRD March 22,2010 my MOS in marine sercurity forces, sounds fun to me, we will see, cant wait to go to bootcamp. if a slot opens up sooner im taking it.

  • im going Jan 4th maybe we be in the same unit probably not though but good luck

  • infantry is full. but theres a chance in the future you might be put in infantry but most likely your going to combat if that happens.they will start to open up when this economy starts doing better. then there wont be as much frat boys comming in to pay for college

  • Its not that it's full, I mean it is full, but you just need to wait for the new Fiscal month

  • wE bE hERRW....

  • HAHAHA security forces is an easy way recruiters scam kids into thinking they're doing something cool when they're just glorified infantry. Hey it worked on me!

  • What is the scam behind it?

You get Infantry training as well as security/checkpoint/CQB/patrolling training. It's awesome, not to mention you get to put a good ASVAB score to use.

It looks better on your resume out of the service also.

I'm doing Marine Corps Security Forces (Presidential). Going to be awesome, got two years of security duty, the majority of it in D.C., and maybe some more in F.A.S.T, and then 3 years of Infantry. Can't wait.

  • You THINK you are, you have no idea where they will put you until you get there man, good luck getting what you want. But hopefully you'll wake up before they tell you otherwise and see whats up. By the way... a good use of an ASVAB? give me a break, your infantry PERIOD :) Just wait till bootcamp.

  • please tell me what asvab score you need!!

  • 90 GT

  • thanks.

  • Hey my recruiter just switched me from Infantry to security forces. What was it like for you?

  • Its not too bad depends on what you want to do really, you don't get to pick FAST or PRP if you score right your PRP. score as in clean enough record etc etc. Fast is probably more fun I was PRP back in 2003 so Don't know if it's changed much. Make sure you ask your recruiters how long the commitment is for Security Forces, if they say four years.... make them show you in writing, cause I was told four and its only 2 years, the nect 2 years is infantry. And after two years your a corporal (cont

  • the infantry Marines treat you like crap since you were in Security Forces, so when you get to the fleet they'll act like your a teabag for a while, and if you are one you'll be a corporal doing pfc/lcpl's jobs, but if your locked on and not a turd eventually they'll come around. Basically its a crappy jump from a Corporal with respect of a corporal to the fleet where lcpls will treat you like crap until they know your good to go.

  • @Wufman68 me too...

  • I think the guy Farris bent his cover. What a sad representation. For shame. Looks sloppy. You're not supose to bend the cover.

  • Different job you will be in a operational infantry unit after 2 years

  • so what are you doing for the 2 years before that?

  • You will be in a Security Force battalion guarding naval bases, high value targets. Or you will be part of a F.A.S.T team do security missions all over the world on air craft carriers to bored on un identified vessels, re enforcing embassies if being attacked, training or training with foreign troops

  • Hey is Marine Corps security forces the same as military police? I want to join the Marines possibly as a MP and just wanted to know if this was it, or leads to it. Thanks.

  • The new name for our military uniforms including all the branches are VAUs (vaginal attraction units) cuz man chicks love a man in uniform

  • so after 3 years u end up in infantry. u cant stay in SF?? or can u pick to stay in the SF?

  • after 3 years security force marines eventually end up going to the real infantry, where nobody respects them because they have no experience but put into leadership positions because they have already picked up rank

  • Im going for Air Force Security Forces :D

Is it the same or is yours more OORAH JUICED?

  • My best Friend is doing Air Force security forces, its different, the concept is the same guard bases, but Marines SF are Infantry men too, you get 4 and half months of training we get 8-9, it is more mobile and will probably see more places. But Air Force SF is a good job too. Im assuming its a little more pumped up.

  • im thinking about doing either security forces or combat support in Marines. Dont knwo which one yet

  • "security forces" = security guard. you stand duty. it sucks.

"combat support" could be a lot of things.

  • UV Contract Marine Corps Security Forces 0300 Infantry OORAH!!!!!!!

  • Yeah boy, when you leaving?

  • hey i was wondering... what is the difference between this and the airforce security forces??

and what are these mens duties??

  • the duties are about the same, probably.

the marines are marines, the airforce aren't

  • the jobs are the same its just airman dont see much combat we have less casualties and we have a better quality of life like our dorms kick ass

  • WTF are you talking about more Air Force security force airmen get sent to iraq than Marine security forces you wtf are you talking about

  • first of all u sound stupid saying "wtf r u talking about'' so dam much. 2nd of all so wat if more af security forces get sent to iraq. that still doesnt break the fact that we dont go outside the wire that much we only have 8 combat related casualties since both wars started our baracks is LIKE having ur own apartment and we do alot more traveling than any other branch. the time we spend on deployments is only 4 to 6 months as oppose to the marines who probably spend 12 to 16 months.

  • Marines deployments are 7 months, lol 12-16 is the Army lol.

  • commommm,

It's not about the amount of time you're out, it's about what you get done. Try going through boot camp for 13 weeks of hell, another 12-13 weeks of Infrantry training, then going to your MOS school. Marines don't need to be out for more than 7 months to get shit done.

  • Where do you get 12-13 weeks Infantry training if you have another MOS (If you are Infantry you go to SOI for about 6 weeks) Any other ones got to MCT (Marine Combat Training) go for 22 days...not everyone goes through 26+ weeks of training

  • most ppl would rather join marines cuz the VAUs look cool and u get muscular from all that useless pt and most of u guys get all gung ho with that semperfi, oorah bullshit. u know honestly muscles aint gonna stop a bullet or an ied and so wat if u guys think were pussies im not gonna be the one pissing my pants when an ied goes off and it misses u by a pubic hair. For anyone who wants 2 do this job dont buy in to that bs marine culture join the branch thats gonna give u the most out of ur service

  • Hey man, Im not disrespecting the Air Force Security Force Airmen, my friend just left yesterday for the job. Im just saying USAF SF get sent to Iraq ten times more, there has only been about 4-5 deployments of F.A.S.T company to Iraq since the war started and it was mostly just securing recently captured areas like Baghdad in 2003. But besides that not sent to combat, and F.A.S.T and mobile Battalions such as the ones in Rota Spain, Naples see minimum two countries a year, F.A.S.T has seen 13

  • i leave to boot camp in a few months and have chosen this job, so if you can tell me the code for security forces that would be nice. Thank You.

  • when do you leave?

  • aug 10

  • I leave aug 10th too man, going to PI

  • cool but i so to san diego, looks pretty sweet.

  • i heard that people who wear glasses cant do security force in the marines, is that true?

  • oO1c3mAnOo why would you choose a job you didn't know anything about??

  • well all i know is you guard embassies and also perform anti terrorism duties which i want to do, but i want to know more about the job (in detail)

  • Your profile says you are in the UK. How can you be joining the US Marines if you are in the UK? Are you a US citizen, who are you?

  • yea i like to lie about my name, age, race and origins

  • Ok. I asked a few pointed questions and didn't get a satisfactory response. If you are joining the Marines and headed to boot camp on 10 Aug, your recruiter can answer your questions about what security forces do in detail, not a youtube forum. Now, how about answers to my questions about who you are.

  • good luck finding out. Biiiiiaaaaatch

  • I'm sure I will with a little luck from my friends in the FBI. One more outburst like this one and I'll block you from my site. For someone who aspires to be a Marine, you should show more respect to one who IS a Marine and senior at that. Pull your head out of your ass and start acting the part of someone who is serious about being one of the few. I have all the answers you are seeking because I was a security forces instructor. If you'd cooperate, it would make it easier for you. Your choice.

  • you fucking nerd. you aren't going to track this kid down and beat him up.

hey everyone, you have no duty to take anyone on the internet seriously.

  • Hey im a Fresh boot out of MCRD PI, SF contract, wondering about SF school and SOI, things such as are you left alone more or less, like can you do simple things such as use the head freely without being counted down, do you get to get ready on your not be counted down are you left alone at night and do you get time off after the day is done, these questions are primarly for SOI, and I was wondering even though im years away from being or trying to be an instructor how I would manage that??

  • @flip2001 well really the recruiter cant say what the PRP Marines (me) do.

  • Dont you just walk around a subpen with a m16 at bangor or kingsbay?

  • @Marine61608 I mean obviously it more in-depth than that but more or less? you dont really go anywhere do you?

  • Question: I joined the MARINES bout 3 months ago, and i picked this job. Dont know exactly what it is and what they do so can you help me out. Thank you.

  • Don't do security forces...its not all high speed

  • hey ... need help here, is security forces bad ass ? cuz im leaving to bootcamp in july next year, i read a comment on another video that RTT CQB was better, is it true? and whats the difference ?

  • ever heard of camp david? Marine Security Forces guard that because of their badassness so yea its pretty BA, its what im going for when i enlist

  • i just got out of bootcamp oct. 24 and im security forces... its 5 years because the schooling is a year long then you do 2 years sf then 2 grunt...

  • Yeah me too....gay.More than half of you kids will end up in a PRP command. BSG isent as tough as this clip makes it look. Im in FAST. go straight grunt if you want action. Or you could always end up on an RFDF for 3 months.

  • HOw long is the security forces contract? I heard it was now 5 yrs.(2 sf, 3 fleet). What is PRP & RFDF and what do they do? And also how do you get in FAST co.?

  • Please answer me on this one, Im doing security forces and have been asking everyone that could know with no response.. how do you get into F.A.S.T through security forces. Did you get an opportunity to try out, and if not please explain how you go in.

  • you put it on your dream sheet.

  • Oorah, im want to be a security Marine.

  • yeah same here semper fi.
