Look at someone like Sean Penn. He voices his opinion about politics all the time, constantly, just because he had a platform and is able to and people will listen just because he's a famous actor. I think you will have an uphill battle trying to make Bush a sympathetic figure. We expect our presidents to make reasonable mistakes. The Bush Administration failed on so many different levels, none of which were reasonable - corruption, intimidation of the press, ruining our ties with allies - the list goes on and on.

Love Meryle Streep, always have. Loved "Cry in the Dark." Personally, I am pleased with some of Obama's decisions thus far. It appeared he would be this total socialist, but he seemed to be surrounding himself with pragmatists, not idealogues; he is acknowledging that spending must be cut and he is not going to roll back some tax-cuts afterall, but I absolutely do not like his civilian security force plan, his mandatory plan for the youth to be drafted into a period of service.

Right on Wiskawind! The Religious Right was and IS very bad news! Whenever the church has obtained control of the state she has used it to punish dissent from her doctrines. Bush did much to dismantle the wall of separation between church and state and prepare the way for a theocratic dictatorship.
