I don't think it's an remix by Paul McCartney. It's the original version of Paul's "Oh Woman, Oh Why" but much faster. That's the only difference, actually it's completely the same song.
funny, YOUR version sounds more like how I remember the song...its been years since I heard it and thought about it the other day and came here looking for it. Great eFfing job!! I'm a musician/record producer {to all of you other rude creeps}
I prefer the original, but hey, you haven't forbidden us to listen to it. Thanks for sharing this, its a very interesting version, I've enjoyed it a lot.
Very interesting but like others i agree that you have taken away the vital groove that this song has in its natural state. You've taken a classic groove and turned it into a Devoesque rant.
You should add some grind from the MONO version of this song...It is much better than the stereo...it was interesting to hear how you maintained the vocal pitch while still speeding up the tempo...If you take the tempo from your version & the original, somewhere in between might be interesting to hear...Either way, nice job. This is the BEST MCCARTNEY song ever...I would take this one over BOTRun, Yesterday, HeyJude anyday... :)
@Khultan Thanks, I enjoyed playing around with it. I slightly remixed it by not only increasing the tempo but also switching around the tracks and adding a few other effects with a sweet little program called Goldwave. :)
@blountb1 Aw, man, it's sooooo much : ) I have never heard of this number, it's fantastic. Hey, I see that you've got alot of flak for being creative, you got your kevlar on ya, ha ha ha....just teasing....for real, I love your version and the original...ROCK ON!!! Never mind those haters LOL
@gittahfiend Yes I slightly remixed it by not only increasing the tempo but also switching around the tracks and adding a few other effects with a program called Goldwave.
I always loved it especially the slow tempo. This gives us a chance to hear it at a faster tempo but retains the vocal in the original key. I"m not putting you down. It's interesting but I still prefer the original. Thanks for posting it .
@capitolemiproducer Actually this "bozo" used a program called Goldwave and a few other effects to change the song around a little...if you don't like it you have every right in the world to say so but geeze , have a little decency to be polite about it. If you don't like what I've done then don't listen to it, you don't have to be hateful about it...man, what a prick! :(
@maximum1954 This goes for you too, if you don't like it you have every right in the world to say so but geeze , have a little decency to be polite about it. If you don't like what I've done then don't listen to it, you don't have to be hateful about it either. :/
blountb1. I mean come on, I simply said it is a, "horrible version", and, "it's making me sick. You have to except criticism if you are going to COMPLETELY change the tempo of a song. It sounds like the chipmunks. I mean why don't you completely change the ending of the Wizard Of Oz? Why mess with anyone's song? What's the point? I think you have to accept the critiquing if you are going to change someone else's song. I love the song the way it was recorded. Leave it alone.
the lyrics "....woman oh why, where did you that gun..." susmariosep (jesus,mary&joseph) good the husband, bf, lover was not shot, anyway, i was 2nd year in college when i heard this song, a great song, but with deadly lyrics
It grows on you the longer you listen to it.

WHat this bozo did was use audacity and change the tempo. This sucks!!! If you want a rare version look for the promo mix
