  • Actually, hydroxide ions are discharged first before chlorine.. the sodium chloride solution needs to be concentrated for chlorine to be discharged before hydroxide...

  • @SymAmineC8H11N No, brine is another word for salt water, or more commonly salt water which has come from the sea.

  • @nintoad so the word brine is specifically reserved for a solution of diluted NaCl & not solid salt rock from lets say like a salt mine??
