I'm not a bigtime pipe smoker, but this Big Ben is the smoothest thing Ive ever smoked. I have a few corn cobs and a no-name pipe, the Presidential is 10x's better and totally worth the $. =) I just wish it was a little bigger
My first pipes (in 1995) have been Big Ben and Hilson Pipes (both are made by Gubbels, the well known dutch pipemaker). Nice first video!
Your packing is almost (as you said) the "Frank Method", better known as "german packing". I've just made a video with his packing method (authorised to use his own videos).
lol i think your frank meathod needs work. i find it easyer to just pack the bowl as you see fit, i save the fancy stuff for partys to impress friends
Enjoyable first video. I've just ordered a Big Ben 'Gigolo presidential apple straight grain'. Your looks like a good pipe. Mine will be my first BB pipe. The great thing about pipes mate is that it's a real journey in terms of working stuff out. Even after years of smoking a pipe i'm learning..
Thats a great looking pipe.. I've been looking at the Big Ben's for a while.. they look like a really good value.. As for the tobacco thats real wet.. Take out a bowlful and set it out for an hour or two to dry a little.. It will give you a better smoke and be easier to keep lit.. Try it out with your other aromatics as well.. it can have a huge effect on the taste..
Even though I like cobs I will give it
a try
