I love the sensation of not knowing a band when you hear them the first time. Not knowing the face behind the voice, the year it was created, the drummers name, or even the legacy. Just some meaningful sound with no association. I found this experience here... I then went and bought a couple albums and I understand the history... Boy, how that effects my realization and understanding of the sounds. I think I prefer the lack of association in this case.

There is a rare and rich beauty in the best songs of Gorky's. They are simple and yet speak very deeply from the heart, they express many feelings in a direct and creative way. Their work is a real achievement and needs to be recognised as such.
