it is easy to do a 1080 in snowboarding because the board is strapped to your feet. It is also longer, making it easier to gain the momentum to spin longer. In skateboarding, you must control the board on wheels, which slows it down a bit, then it is shorter making it harder to spin. Also if you bail on snow it doesnt hurt so much, giving you the factor of extra confidence.
