  • The problem isn't in hierarchy, but in that basal fear within people that makes them so susceptible to humiliation.

  • @FIScorinthian - The victims of rankism are obviouslyat a disadvantage & that is precisely why they remain the target of bullying and all the other 'isms. This could be reinforced within not just one rankist, but a group and a society. It can be so overpowering, the reality is the victim has trouble overpowering all of that and if they do dare stick up for themselves, it is not necessarily viewed positively or postively reinforced, hence the continuation of the problem.

  • Let's say the victim of rankism is even a child, & the rankist is an adult. Yes, of course, the child is more susceptible, & that basal fear is now just a result of that rankist behavior. AND the humiliation can be so subtle, as Fuller says, that it is very difficult for the victim to point it out or prove it to be tangible enough. But we know damn well the rankist knows what the hell they are doing because it's executed in such a subtle manner. JUST QUIT IT ALL TOGETHER & there is no problem!
