You can see her place and manipulate a stainless steel rule(r) in the Jazz/Marciac 2010 YouTube video posted by uvisni (YT wouldn't let me post the link)
She is playing a prepared piano. Some of the strings have clips, or something similar, on them, to give them that "harpsichord sound." Around midway she reaches in and disables them, and the piano sounds normal again.
BTW, she is improvising around the classical piece Pachelbel Canon in D, written in the 1700's.
Is that her 'fuckface'?

In another video you see that she has just added two metal bars

ok, she's a killer musician, we all know that but more than this, no matter what the expression on her face is, she's soooo cute ;-)

This is on her new cd, "Place to Be". One of the best tracks in a great album.

shenajihen65 2 years ago
She had some sort of 'carpet' she layed over the strings to make them sound like that.

I was there, what she actuakky did was lay a piece of bamboo about a meter long inside the piano
richardlittlewood196 2 years ago
@ryemann79
That's not really right: she just put a thin flat piece of metal over the strings. You can see this on other videos of the same piece.
