  • Wow! Thanks for pronouncing 'ger' for me, now I know how to SAY it. Also, you gave a very good demonstration of the height. Can you tell me the diameter of your ger? Also, I read that the ger is easier to heat in winter than the houses, so that the people live in houses in summer and move back to the ger in winter, what can you tel me about that? Any info would be great and a kindness on your part. I would like to learn more about the Mongolian lifestyle and homes-ger, thank you!

  • My son is in Western Mongolia, teaching English in public school and living in a ger just like you. I enjoyed the tour! Stay WARM!

  • Thanks for the tour, Brandon! Nice castle. But did you really have an Internet connection in your ger? Is it in Uvurhangai aimag center or is in som?

  • @Haliuna1 I didn't have internet. I lived in Khujirt Sum, about 90 kms north of Ovorkhangai Aimag Center. Between Ovorkhangai and Kharkhorin. I took this video a while back, and now I'm uploading it here.

  • @lucduchien The last time I saw Kharkhorin was in 1987 when I used to work in Arkhangai and we had some regional conference in Ovorkhangai. I am sure things have changed dramatically since then. I wouldn't be surprised if there is an Internet connection if not in som then at least in aimag center. Thanks for sharing your videos!
