In a society full of sexual perversion, STD's, and idiocy we still have discrimination against those who wish to simply love someone. One thing I'm thankful for at my school is that there isn't a lot of discrimination toward anyone that I've seen. (at least not meant) A very good friend of mine told me she was a lesbian in 8th grade and i thought it was a phase, now she and her fiancée have been together for 4 years and are still going strong.

Some ppl can't help homophobia just like some ppl can help homosexuality. I'm homophobic in a very technical sense of the word. Being around ppl I know to be gay makes me uncomfortable. However, I realize it's an irrational fear and it's most likely based on me never knowing about "queerness" until late high school. I have gay friends, but I still can't help but feeling a little odd around them. I try to discount my fear though and go on like it's not there.
