Great vid! I found a nice point in the little strip of ground between the curb and sidewalk outside my grandmothers church as I helped her into the car. I don't think she ever believed that I had actually found it then and there. That was something.
Man, I was enjoying this video as much as any other then you hit on a bit of philosophy I've employed in my life for the past few years and my jaw dropped. I've never really verbally spoken about how learning about our primitive ancestors makes me feel, but you exactly put into words the feeling I get every time I hold an ancient stone point. Thank you for this awesome video!
I have a nice collection, all found in FL walking the fields as a kid. Several are made from agatized coral and are just gorgeous. The agatized coral makes the point relatively transparent. Two of my best ....One is a creamy white and orange, and another is black.
@PoopStainProductions not to be rude but u need to study more before u talk like that theres has been millions of arrowheads made out of quartz some of the nicest ones iv seen are made out of it and as a flint knapper myself i have even made it out of quartz just takes a little more time and effort also knifes can have tails actually most do just study the internet and you will find out
@pondhunt17 i'm sorry if i came off as rude but i was thinking of quartz out of a geode and how that would seem almot unworkable. But maybe Quartz is differnt from place to place.
Wonderful video! Very educational and emotive. I grew up in Huntington, and am an old retired airline captain who thoroughly enjoys walking the creeks and fields (I now live in Cincinnati...). What part of our beautiful state do you reside in? I have subscribed so I can devour more of your videos... Thanks, Steve
Thourghly enjoyed your video . I do not know how I have missed it . I have picked uo arrowheads , fossils , ect..... all my life . LOVE IT !!! Love is fleeting ,STONE tools are forever
this was fascinating! I never would have found this video without having read Eden. That book was the funniest I have read in ages. You look exactly like the character in the book, Richard. PLEASE write another book along those lines. Hilarious & entertaining!
Thanks so much Steve for making and sharing this video with all of us collectors of artifacts and for those of us that appreciate these gifts from the past. I like the personal philosophy you give, that's some great advice! What a killer piece that large perfect blade is, it has to be the find of a lifetime. I would be interested in seeing more videos from you in the future, Great Job!

1st off you will never ever find an arrowhead made out of quarts, and a peice with a tail is not a knife. but very sweet points.

I especially liked the commentary at the end about how such relics are just proof that we're part of a continuum of people. Very nice perspective!
