  • This is one very "gaping" video. =p

  • @demarcoambrose Ive got a handmade american downhillbike... Intense, just look it up

  • the music is f*cked up

  • SO WHATS WRONG IF YOUR FORK IS MADE IN CHINA?? YOU'RE NOT EVEN A PRO RIDER....PERVERT

  • Almost all mountain bike parts and frames in the market now are made in Taiwan either its aluminum, titanium, carbon fiber materials. , it’s because is cheaper materials and salary wages for the workers. Each company has a different client from around the globe who and whoever buys the design it will be exclusive to him. All this new models are 2 years advance manufactured before the release period to the market. sorry my english is bad :)

  • damn nothing is made in the usa anymore... damn chinese

  • @locutus340 ARE YOU MADE IN CHINA AS WELL?

  • @locutus340 suck a dick you fuck...do you know how much more expensive it would be if it was made in the USA, with unions and a high minimum wage?

  • @demarcoambrose thats ok why dont you do that since you mentioned it...

yea lets outsource everything and have bad quality shit and cheap chinese products fuck the american worker thats out of work fuck our economy but pump money into someone else.. oh american guy needs food fuck him lets give china 500 billion...

if you aint for america your against it.. and you fit that catagory.. you want good quality you pay for it you cheap ass... buy american

  • @locutus340 would you rather buy a 2 grand rockshox boxxer? All the top brands are not made in america. All of them are either handmade or made with machines on the other side of the world. How about you try to get an "american bike". Does such a thing even exist? Get over yourself. On the topic of creating jobs, outsourcing fork manufacturing isn't that many extra jobs here. America is already 14 trillion $ in debt, so each american would have to pay almost 50 grand to get the us out of debt.

  • @demarcoambrose uh yea id rather buy 2 grand for them than to give some other country my money..

yes american bikes exsist... btw i think you owe me an apology for insulting me earlier.. thats something i dont forget....

buy american support our own country... stop out sourceing.... the more you buy from china the more you destroy america

  • Fox for the win.

PS. I wonder, sram xx where is made?

  • you can buy clay pots or raw material off China or taiwan ,but not machanical or electronic stuffs

  • I'm an Asian ,both my parents and grandparents are Chinese but i don't buy things that made in Taiwan or China because most chinese will follow what they're taught ,they don't have much machanical background as most Americans have ,so the quality of things made will be lower because they lack of machanical concepts ,the only better chinese are the Singapore chinese cuz they have english education...

  • and this is why you dont have a job

  • That's a very well equipped factory. They have spent a lot of time / money on those processes by the looks of it.

  • @firemanponcho

It is a decent looking assembly plant. ABB robots are top of the line....it's funny watching them operate the presses though...no safety glasses, no guarding or light curtains...that would never fly in North America.

  • 500dollar for factory stuff OMFG

  • блять и тут китайцы!

  • dobre na końcu rock shox USA

  • the whole fork is mostly made by machine so if it breaks you cant blame asians you can blame the machine

  • @Xxsideshow22xX Actually, more or less the materials used to MAKE the fork.

  • my bike was made in america and i perfer american products. this country is falling to peices because all politians are scum bags and would sell there grandmothers. louisssss your the idiot America is what makes the world go around jack!@#$. If it wasent for american's nothing would be where it is today. America is filled with he best and the brightest but are held back burecratic redtape. We need to bring manufacturing back to the states and get these bottom feeders off our backs.

  • I hope all you "brand snobs" are watching where your bikes are made. They weren't made by angels using the essence of the Universe, they were made in factories in Asia by slave labour. So, next time you look down ur nose at someone's cheap bike just remember how much you got ripped off!

  • Cool. So can any of those workers afford to buy rock shox?

  • Lot of work to go to, just so I can wrap it round a tree.

    Awful music btw

  • its actually the suntour factory!!!! they make forks for every one!!!!

  • I ♥ Rock shox !

  • japan is also one part of asia.so you still tthat asian made are no qualities?common guys, ure frame, ure suspension and even shimano gears are from asia.geeezzzzzz

  • ditamai reclama :))

  • smaller hands are more accurate haha

  • I'm an asian, I ride mountainbike, I fall and I'm still alive. !

  • atleast a person puts the decals on

  • marzocchi rulz

  • I think quality is subjective where you stated "everything is made in asia. they're all good quality." There is an immense amount of oversight that is needed for factories in Asia. Traceability of the materials, ensuring compliance to standards mandated by the US, Canada and Europe, maintaining test and production equipment, and furthermore error proofing the production processes to ensure consistent product.

  • now which one of theese faggots controled how much oil got into my fork?!-because i got NONE!! :-@

  • Made in America-cost 50$ per day, Made in Asia-cost 15$ per day.Take your shot mate :)

  • Buy American-made.

  • well.......i have Marzocchi junior T made in Italy.......thats quality.

  • Hecho en china y con la pegatina "made in usa" que gracioso.

  • They are not all the same... yes they are sometimes made in the same factory but each company's specs are different and fineley tuned based on their individual testing, design and quality methods. FOX has a large portion of their manufacturing - parts made from billet into finished pieces - in addition to 100% of the assembly work all done at their Watsonville factory in California USA.

  • wow watching this makes you realize that they are just a product all made in the same factory. The name is pretty insignificant. the name is just a person who slapping a sticker on them. marzochi fox & rockshox. they are basically pretty similar products all manafactured identically.

  • @Lunarlaserranging

I think u´re wrong, basically all de R&D do the difference. and the quality isnt the same from one manufacturer than the rest of them. FOX..rules

  • @Lunarlaserranging

I think u´re wrong, basically all de R&D do the difference. and the quality isnt the same from one manufacturer than the rest of them. FOX..rules U can´t compare shimano parts made in japan from the ones made in malasya

  • Look at the Chinese girl, lol, so it came here and it came here and what I have left parts more? Anyway these forks are shit

  • @danielescu TAIWAN girl...not chinese

  • Look at the Chinese girl, lol, so it came here and it came here and what I have left parts more? Anyway these forks are shit :)))))

  • Fo sjo!!

  • China made.....

  • Taiwan, actually. I've been to this factory and met some of the workers. Pretty sharp bunch, and very friendly.

  • why where you there

  • I was helping them start SRAM's mechanic training program for Asia.

  • okay im new to mountain biking, i am looking to get the 09 specialized rockhopper pro. my friends and i have bmx bike and hit dirt jumps that we make that are medium sized. will the rockhopper handle these? it says it has rockshox recon race sl? if that helps any

  • @dirtbikekidjoe those forks arent built for jumping, they are built for cross country racing. if you were to buy a bike for dirt jups by specialized buy a p1 or a p2. i own an 08 rockhopper pro and its good for xc but i dont use it on jumps anymore. i now use a kona. my advise buy a kona shred or a specialized p2 for what youd use it for (y)

  • @dirtbikekidjoe

Depends on how much money you have to spend if you want a DJ bike I'd recommend the Giant STP range. Oh sorry that wasn't your question soz

  • are my forks any good? i have 2007 rockshox revelation 426 u-turn's?

  • Yes they really are but you should know that if you have them. They work good or they don't, just as simple as that. And second, you should do some research before buying (a bike with) such a fork. You've got to know what quality you're buying, don't you?

  • yea i looked them up before i bought them, iv built my own bike up from the frame up :P, n i just thought id ask :) cheers n how long do they usualy last without service?

  • all fork is good if u use it correctly also,

i prefer marzocchi, or fox but rock shox is also good, abso no problem with them.

  • I wouldn't know when to service them, I have my Reba only six months but it's still like new. Wasn't stock on my bike either, but I wanted to upgrade the fork. Reba was best price/quality and I haven't even thought about another fork since then...

  • same, i bought my revelation 426's and have had no problem with them and not even though about getting another fork as there everything i need :)

  • lets face it marzocchi suck big time!

  • yeah... rock shox "usa"

their quality dropped since they produce in china

  • that's why I replaced my RS with a Marzocchi MX Comp '06 - now that is called quality! ;)

  • there is

    ROCK

    SHOX USA

it was made in japan why is there usa??

  • that was awsome!!! that robot on sanding the lowers casting smooth was the coolest thing ever

  • Do chinese robots work faster than american robots?

  • are my rockshox recon 351 good? compared to others????? - i'm not a complete reatrd but borderlining

  • @samrooster ya there good they come on some high priced bikes for instence jamis parker 1.0 so there good =)

  • i have a Tora 318 U-turn and it's great, I molest it downhill, don't maintenance it and it still rides like new (if not better!). great fork, great manufacturer.

  • Dude, US factory workers were typically C and D students back in high school.

Some of you people are fuckin' jokers.

  • lol yea right i takes years to lern some of the skills forging welding plasma cutting setting up the tooling etc also the usa has the best codeings for welding and fabrication out there stuff made in china i for the best pars cheap shit rock shox has had lots of problems over the past few years inluuding the domain having martinsitic stear tubes lol snap fuck that shit rock sho had to recall those forks most of them where oem

  • @SAGKFCASBOST1CSX

Wow did you drop out of school at the age of 10?

  • this reba is so big in chines hands !

  • rofl rock shox USA made in taiwan :D

  • Ahhhhhhh.... so that's why my recon took a shit on the very first ride.....

  • YEAHHH ROCK SHOX --> Chinese power Hell YEAHH =))

  • o me so horny me love fox shox long time

  • rock shox usa powered by sram, made in china.

    Huh?

  • fox is the best out there! I mean in my own bias degree!lol! but fox is really a great choice if you have the budget for it! I love my 36van,,,,

  • nah... they have reliability issues... all of mine have been awesome but they were always screwing up

  • FOX rules!

  • Now, can enyone explain were are the 600+$ you pay for some forks?? As you can see the production proces is quite simple(i am an automotive engenier and belive me it is simple, very) , the materials are not expensive(steel, magnesium, aluminium and the alloys of these etc.), the work force...no comment - very cheap....so were are the money.

Well the marketing devision can answer this question.

I am amazed how overpriced this things are.

  • they can sell 'em in a price like that cose guys gonna buy it anyway. And they buy it' cose theey cant do anything ekse :( thats not fair!!!

  • Rock Shox USA made in China

    wtf ahaha

  • Just factory in chaina town lol

  • ROFL xD

  • I like it!

  • I don't live in the USA, but I do prefer items made in the country of the companies origin.

    BTW: the music is WANK

  • made in china/taiwan?

  • Ill bet those workers don't even know how to ride!

  • who cares?

  • hah what, the robots making em haha. i doubt they can ride

  • that reba looked nice

  • im riding on a pike and its been 1 and a half years of riding it cracked the crown and now the shock now its usless

  • rockshox arent that good considering they are a company that makes everything besides wheels and frames and some other stuff think about it when a company is making all the deraillers cranks bottom brackets stems and forks do you really think they even have enough time to build good parts they have good deraillers and crank but not forks

  • been rideing for 13 years, made in the USA normally means over priced and crap!!!!!!!!!

  • Made in USA means made cheap by Mexicans, sold overpriced for maximum profit.

  • fox factory looks well more professional ent run by a load of gooks

  • so that's where my sid's came from then..

  • Dang--I thought mine was built by elves at the North Pole.

  • get it for xmas

  • my dart 3 just started leaking after 5 months use.piece of shit.

  • those came on my bike. fucking trash.

  • That's why RS are so cheap. They're made by robots in Asia. Tremendous! How'd you get this video?

  • Found on the web pages I do not remember accidentally opened

  • @kearnj

It doesn make any sense to produce simple parts of the fork in the usa or other countrys where producing is expensive because the quality of the final product does not change. While the innovations for new forks are made in the usa. Wether your pc comes from botswana or N.Y doesnt change the quality but whether the deveopment has been done in botswana or not does!

  • I dont understand why we cant make those in america. That could be americans making those. That could be jobs that americans could do.

  • So Rock Shox moved all their manufacturing to Asia to make more money?

Good to know this. Now I will never consider purchasing their product. And I'm building a full suspension bike right now.

Rock Shox wanted to be smart and make more bucks but now they will make ZERO of them.

I also did some googling and found put that at least Manitou forks are manufactred in the USA. Good to know this as well.

  • Dude, Asians make good shit, anyway, how is it different than being made in america?most of the quality of stuff made in America is questionable

  • yeh sure! the hole world will stop buy rockshox because of this comment !

  • dude, you're still getting the same quality fork

  • you're an idiot. everything is made in asia. they're all good quality, your bike frame is made in asia. it hasn't fallen apart has it? i bet your tv is made in asia too. idiot.

whats so good about made in america? what outstanding has come from there? the cars? LOL oh is it the nice tv's? LOL what about your bike? haha

  • @louisssss uh my bike is made in canada thank you very much

  • @SeaCruncher77 zing!

  • all major bike manufactors produce the frames in Taiwan, There are some rare bike manufactors that produce not in asia, for example ROTWILD produce the frames in germany but they have high price and dosnt mean that they are better! Its just a joy for your mind! Some Rocky Mountain frames are also made in taiwan, nearly all carbon ones, taiwan is best adress for carbon frames

  • @louisssss plus its made by robots anyway, so its really just where the actual plant is

  • @louisssss It don't save JOBs in the USA. A company need no responsability for workers in asia. They are slaves. Like you, thinking having no other choice.

  • @louisssss The people. The best place in the world to find American people is the good ole USA. Most of the things made in asia is just cheap copies.

  • @louisssss My bike was made in the US and its great. The US economy is three times the size of China's for a reason, and its not because they don't make anything.... your an idiot

  • @louisssss still i fucking hate MADE IN CHINA. IT FUCKING SUCKS dude. so fuck that shit !

  • @louisssss Made in China, at a very stringent U.S Specification. My bike frame is a Raleigh that was made in the US, and it has outlasted plenty of other products made in the U.S and overseas. BTW, America is the largest industrial power for a reason, and it's not because they make crappy products. In fact, the processor in the computer you are using right now was probably manufactured or at least engineered in the U.S.

  • @louisssss American car companies are consistently ranked higher then MOST European manufacturers in overall reliability, and beat out many Japanese manufacturers as well. Before you go calling people idiots, you should probably do a little research.

  • Dude, Rock-Shox susp are mande in China for at least 15 years, so did Manitou, Asia factory only means that they pay less for the workers, the rest is the same, you look so lame...

  • they make awesome suspension, manitou on the other hand took a big fat shit when hayes bought them out

  • Just because its made in a different country doesnt mean that it is made badly.China and Taiwan chuck out a lot of rubbish, but considering they make most of the stuff we buy anyway. machineing the forks is cheaper over there because of the labour.

The chineese work alot harder then most of us would for the money they get paid! which in turn makes the product cheaper for us. Besides from this vid you can see most of the critical machineing processes are done using robots.

  • cool vid, but the song keept skiping and it shat me up the fucking wall

  • lol so funny rock shox usa more like CHINA

  • Taiwan. BIG difference in quality.

  • ok thats good lol better than china

  • yeah they had to put that "usa" on the sticker huh

  • What a beautiful factory , clean and very modern , asian factory ROOCKKKSSSS!!!!

  • really good video but only 1000 views?

  • All the chinese in the video and then in the end: "Rock Shox USA"... :D

  • thats why i buy marzocchi italy and fox usa...

lol,but my topeak moonshine hid usa is made in taowan too...

but, giant reign is great stuff,i love giant!

  • Taiwan made is totally different than China. They made quality products especially on computer technologies. Shame on you can't even spell Taiwan.

  • ya see,no matter where you live, they all call us think,so i dont give a shit to you taowan monkey...imoa,ya gooood,ya speak perfect english!write some proper stuff that i cannot understand,pleeeeeease...yeah,taowan is good in some way,but it doesnt mean you are outstanding too,you know what, your word just showed you are a taowan trash, brainless one,not like the others...one thing you need to know,i hate china too!...

  • i mean chink

  • anyone with halfbrain knows japan made or italy made or usa made is far more better than taowan made, guess that half brain left in ya head is sure to know this,right??...

  • you are an asshole, that's all i can say. You are just here to argue without any reason

  • marzocchi is also made in Taiwan.

    from 07' anyway.

  • well how did you know that?ya work for marzocchi?sorry, but mine is made in italyXD

  • Comment removed

  • well...whatever,so you mean ive been cheated for i bought a z1 rc2 eta with Made In Italy printed on both of the bright orange colour lowers?tell me something about how you seperate a taiwan made and a italy made marzocchi?im listening with all my ears!XD

  • Actually, i rebuild forks and shocks in my spare time, both motorbike and bicycle. im telling you that if the fork was made in 2007 or after they are made i Taiwan, their HQ might still be in Italy but they are mass produced else where. but before 2007 they were an awesome fork.

  • and you just go tell everybody using a marzocchi stuff"hey idiots!stop using that liers products!"even when z1 works fantasicly...lol,that stuff smooth as hell...i have to say rockshox is smooth as well, but rebound, man,i mean rebound, marzocchi is the god!if you try a z1 07 to downstairs, you will know whats the difference between z1 and rockshox pike...since i sold ma rockshox boxxer race 2004,will never believe in it

  • i never said stop using their products. I just said that their earlier products were awesome. z1 are a great freeride fork but your comparing them to pikes which are DJ forks and of course they wont compare! you should be comparing z1 with the rock shox lyrics. yeah and im about 70% sure that it says "developed in italy" on the bottom of the last z1 ive seen. please it would be good if you could send me a photo of the "made in italy" sticker i wouldnt mind investiating this further.

  • you dont believe it?ok i send it to you!then i wonder what you gonna say...

  • you got some e mail address?i send ma photo to you soon!....

  • Im amazed! i went searching through some old photos and found what you were talking about. Ive done some more reseach and you'd be please to know that 2007 z1 are 100% Italian made. Marzocchi moved some of their forks (DJ3 etc) in 2007 to China (not Taiwan as previously claimed) but all production line forks from 2008 are now made in China. and i apologise if i made you upset.

  • noooo,its ok:P

you see,it seems all the guys here are annoyed for im complaing for no reason like a baster...but im just trying to tell the truth...oneday they will find what i was talking about...and rockshox does need more maintainence than marzocchi, though i got no idea how is those marzocchi forks from 2008

  • you are correct. I Dh the 888 rc2x was the best dh fork they ever made. But they are now part of the sr suntour "hayes group". nolonger made in Italy. Im not sure about Italy but for a product to say MADE IN USA only 50% of the product must be 'produced' in the USA. Im sure its the same with Italian made products.
