It,s a credit to you boy,s always singing about your family and should be proud for working together all these years will see you soon,i also have brothers and you inspire me.
This was beautifully played at my great uncles funeral on Tuesday 8/2/11 at the mass by a man with a guitar, it was lovely, and so befitting my great uncle.
It was written by Kevin Sheerin from Athlone, He Plays steel and guitar for Daniel O'Donnell, he wrote many other great songs including Nancy Myles etc. one of the rare great songwriters
Love the fureys. Back home on the old sod last week, and on Tuesday while drivng back from Galway to Dublin airport, the Fureys and Davey Arthur were live on the radio on the mooney show coming live from Henry Street. Beautiful and graceful and as moving as always.
