Michael sensed that something was wrong when Snoop told him that she had a different gun for their planned hit so, after checking out the situation for himself, he realised something was up..and turned out to be right.
After just watching this scene more than 5 times in the past 2-3 years.

@iArieeee: Michael killed Snoop because he felt that she would kill him. The reason for that was because, unknown to Michael at that time, Marlo (and Snoop) felt that Michael was primarily responsible for Chris getting locked up...due to Chris killing Michael's stepdad. Michael sensed that something was wrong when Snoop told him that she had a different gun for their planned hit so, after checking out the situation for himself, he realised something was up..and turned out to be right.
