It's all part of gaming companies trying to get people to buy more new. They are completely obsessed with making as much money as possible and they think that people should have no right to rent, buy used or sell their games.
There is other DLC that they only released with the game new as well that is part of this and it's my guess that a lot of companies are going to start adding more trophies and achievements that are time based to try to get people to keep games longer or never sell.
@garymaster42 Like Dead Island they have one trophy you have to play it 30 days to unlock the trophy Haaaaaaaa, Rent Games that battle has been going on for Years they hate it
@mars188 They have a trophy in Batman where you have to play on 12 different holidays throughout the year and listen to a story by Calendar Man. It's the dumbest thing I have ever heard. I'm just gonna change the date manually like I'm sure everyone else is doing because I am not going to turn on the system once a month just to get the platinum when by that time I would have already put a ton of work in to get the other trophies. :P
@garymaster42 That is Sad Unreal trophy dont mean that much . I will never get them all in batman to much of a headach, Dont care much for the challenge rooms never did to darn hard.
@mars188 Yeah, the challenges really annoy me at times (mostly the combat ones) but I have some weird obsession with beating them all. I guess I just like torturing myself. :D

@mars188 Yeah. The combat system kinda gets annoying especially when there are tons of different enemies and you have to press the direction of who you want to attack perfectly otherwise you're screwed. I sucked at the game when I beat the last one on hard but I got a lot better with the battle system on the combat challenges. Now, I am a lot better so the combat challenges won't be as hard for me but still annoying. I wish they did have some more side stuff too and the campaigns are kinda lame.
@garymaster42 Trying to slove the riddles but i dont know?? 400 of them i have 150 sloved. I like the riddler. cool bad guy. I like all the bad guys from batman.
@mars188 It's a lot easier if you go after the green guys and interrogate them by leaving them for last and pressing triangle. After doing that a bunch of times, I got everything I was missing marked on my map and I just went after that.
@garymaster42 Have that one Marker of the riddler by the water but i cant find the bottom part of it because of the water. I like to save alll the 5 Hostages i was told you need 300 sloved riddles for the 5th hostage mission''
@mars188 Yeah, I know you don't have to get all of the riddles to save all of the hostages. I didn't count them when I got them though. As for the one by the water, I may be wrong but could it be the one where the dot is at the top of one of those large pillars? I'm trying to remember which one you're talking about.
I can understand why they do it, but I think they should allow first 24 hours online free, just to let people know if they want to purchase the game or not
@ohgod247 LIVE notwithstanding, online passes are the brainchild of publishers. I'm pretty sure that the proceeds of an Online Pass transaction line the pockets of publishers, not Microsoft or Sony.

I'm based north of 60 flying in the arctic. Gaming is a luxury in this part of the world. I'm usually just happy that the aircrafts engines start and there's heat in the cockpit. Hopefully I'll get a chance to get some gaming in sometime soon.
@ohgod247 Dont bug me that much i am not much of a MP Player anyhow. Games i do buy i will have the pass anyhow. Not a deal breaker for me to Rent a Game because it dont have a pass. Rent any darn game i want that wont stop me over a passs.
@mars188 I understand, but I recently rented Battlefield 3 and really wanted to try out the MP and didn't have LIVE. Was I gonna go out and pay 10 for a measly month of LIVE and 10 for the online pass when it didn't even have a trial period to see if I liked it? No

I wouldn't mind paying 10 bucks if I was on PS3, but paying for LIVE just to access half the game and then having to get a pass is BS.
