wegen Übersetzungsfehler wie diesem und den hellen Synchronstimmen empfiehlt sich die englischsprachige Originalversion.

kein Übersetzungsfehler. "Vital" bedeutet englisch nichts anderes als deutsch - nämlich lebenswichtig.
Bei den Synchrostimmen gebe ich dir allerdings recht.

Ich kenne "vital" im Deutschen nur in der Bedeutung "zum Leben gehörig", "lebensfähig", während es im Englischen - "sehr wichtig/lebenswichtig heißt". Würde mich mal interessieren, was der Duden dazu sagt :-)

Duden sagt: das Leben betreffend; lebenskräftig, -wichtig; frisch, munter.
Sinngemäß in der Übersetzung also völlig ok.
Ich bevorzuge allerdings auch die englische Filmfassung ;)

The original version is much better IMO. Especially the voice of commander Riker doesn't fit.
