Only people that can afford healthcare in other countries go to other countries for healthcare. It's the people that can't afford healthcare who are under the radar. The fact that people in our country actually go bankrupt due to medical needs is an outrage.
Incredibly rich Canadians like politicians and business figures fly down to the US to get surgery because they can shell out the cash for it. Nobody else. Wait times can be long but I think it's overstated. I had an MRI for a knee injury and I got in for it in a week and a half, I think that's reasonable, definitely preferable to getting it the next day and paying $1000 for it.

and my uncle died because he needed to wait 4 months for a scan. I lived in Montreal and the system sucked.
