Perhaps my favorite from Toys in the Attic. There are certain songs that are studio generated and can't affectively be performed live; I categorized You See Me Crying in that department. Not only did Aerosmith prove they can put this across live, at times this version outdoes the original.
They played it live during their "Toys In The Attic" tour, and I'm not sure now - that's a long time ago - but I'm fairly sure they did it when I saw their "Rocks" Tour, as well.
kohntarkosz doesn't know shit about aerosmith, steven's 62 friggin yrs old gee, i wonder how he might have a little trouble after approx. 300,000 concerts! and they didn't play it back in the day cuz not many people requested it,don't you dare say anything negative about our blue army's singer!!
kohntarkosz doesn't know shit about aerosmith, steven's 62 friggin yrs old gee, i wonder how he might have a little trouble after approx. 300,000 concerts!
This is great stuff. Isn't it great when you get a guy who snaps good quality just when the band does something that no one else will ever get to see? Magic.
It's great until they get to the bridge. I'm not surprised Steven had trouble with those high notes. That might actually be one of the reasons they never played it back in the day.
AEROSMITH ' YOU SEE ME CRYING ' LIVE from 2009 . A very rarely played song ( for reasons unknown) from 1976 Toys in the Attic. NOT A HIT SINGLE BUT ONE OF THEIR BEST SONGS EVER.....
something like that, steven likes all the things perfect, he was having some troubles w/ his voice in june, he was sick before the tour, but in july he hit the high notes better than 2007
I read somewhere, i think in aerosmiths book Walk This Way, that Steven Tyler heard this song on the radio, and dont even remember writing it or recording it. Being so out of it on drugs.
My favorite song, brings me right back to high school. I was at this concert.. It was most amazing experience I have ever had at an Aeromsith concert! I will never forget that night. We were right on the end of the catwalk. Never slept a wink that night.
I agree with you thijs78, I listened to the studio version from Toys in the Attic right after this song and this is actually much better! It's Amazing! They seem to keep getting better and better!!! Truly an awesome band!!!
i think the same, i love this version, they always are better live and even after all this years they did it awesome, and i'm sure it would be better with brad.
This is when the band actually wrote great songs and didn't have 5 co-writers 'helping' them. This is better than any of that later ballad crap they and their 'helpers' wrote.
Steven, Brad, Tom, Joey and Joe: If you see this, please consider come to Sweden on next tour. We miss Aerosmith on our scenes here. You are the greatest band of all time. Hope you get healed soon Steven=)
I usually get much closer seats (close enough to see their faces pretty well) but I'm never able to see the whole stage like that. That really is a perfect view! He must have had an awesome video camera also.
AWESOME sound! Wished they would have played the Toys album in Denver. Hopefully Steven will heal fast and I'll get to see them in KC Sept 1st. Get Well fast you crazy old bastard Steven!
This is classic a aerosmith ballad which blew my mind, and still stands the test of time , for those of us that were their hearing toys being played side A thru side B brought me back to the 70's, Round n Round, was so hard core I'm still spinning.Aerosmith Rocks for a buch of 60 yr olds
i'm grateful for ALL Aerosmith US tour 2009 vids on YouTube, including this fabulous one! i flew 4'000 miles from finland to NYC plus expecting an 2-hour flight from there to Charlotte, NC, to see my band #1 live in the USA for the first time in my life (have seen them in Finland but this would be different!!!)...and then...the gig was postponed (as well as six other gigs, too). you could have seen ME cryin then... THANKS for postings!
THANK YOU so much for posting this! It's PERFECT! They didn't play it here in Dallas, and I was heartbroken!..Please, don't ever remove this video! The only song they played for Dallas from the Toys In The Attic album was "Walk This Way"..It was a great show, but, damn I'd have loved to have seen the show y'all got...
Joe Played Combination with his son's band.I was so happy they played this song I loved this song so much it's my fav of the slow songs possibly other than Wither
I'm betting they'll be doing a different album front to back by the time they roll into KC on September 1st, but it's a great thing to see this one performed live, especially in such great quality.
I saw this live and me, and the guitarist for my band whom i saw it with, was amazed that he could still sing it. Stephen Tyler did miss a few parts though, I guess he just couldn't hit it. Still, this was the best concert ever, and Stephen Tyler is still amazing no matter what. !!!!!!! Go Aerosmith, and ZZ top for this concert.
I am in awe!!! This song is an old blues song, and it's a remake by Aerosmith.
I loved this song from the firdt time I heard it.
Later on found out it was an old blues song on Bluesville on XM.
