  • And thus Pizza Hut gained a lot of business after this

  • The new style building suck ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @52DODGEM37 I hate it too!

  • So I guess they built another McDonalds here? I know many fast food restaurants are known to tear down the old building and rebuild occasionally. I know the McDonalds in Timonium MD did that. And the Burger King in Timonium did the same thing.

  • @MrWill1985 They did the same over in Williamstown, NJ back in '07. I hate the new style building.

  • What a waste...

  • @pgdevil Totally agree!

  • Talk about raising the roof. It had a real drive through window. Business is flat.

  • "McDonalds is definitely part of American culture..." I find that sad

  • How am I gonna get my Mickey D's now?

  • McDonalds should move away from the Frozen pattys and go fresh.

  • Dozers having a happy meal

  • HeHe all the ones I worked in as a student looked single storey but had huge basements for chillers stock rooms staff rooms offices street level is kitchen servery and restuarant and roof area is plant rooms and further storage No such thing as single storey Mc Donalds in UK

  • why are they getting rid of a mconalds to build a mcdonalds? if the building didnt catch fire or get half destroyed all i see is a waste of money. I doubt mcdonalds patrons care what the building looks like as long as there's fast food there.

  • @davisotj1 Most likely it was going to cost more to bring it up to current codes than to build new. So why not build it bigger and better?

  • @americansmark have codes changed much?

  • @davisotj1 Depends on the area. Places like SoCal have changed significantly, whereas places like Athens OH haven't changed building codes since the fifties and most of the off-campus (Ohio U) housing is in shambles with no one worried about fixing it cuz there aren't renter laws or 2000s building codes.

  • It's all about tax depreciation. Commercial buildings are depreciated over a 20 year lifespan. After 20 years they(the actual structure) are virtually worthless. So owners tear the building down, make any needed changes to the new building and have another 20 years of depreciation. I think tax code creates a lot of waste, but that is the way it is.
