Do you or the people on your show have ANY idea how hard it is to adopt out of foster care in the US? Do you realize that over 1 million little girls are abandoned each year? of that 500,000 die infantcide! Out of those 500,000 that are placed in orphanages only 6,500 come to the US. The remainder live in the orphanages for the rest of their lives.

As the parent of an adopted Chinese-American girl, I had say first hand that these people have no idea what they are talking about. Our decision was based on several factors; a safe & secure process where we did not have to worry about legal problems down the line, our child was not subjected to drug and alcohol in womb, our child was under 1 years old, and there are tens of thousands of children in orphanages there.

The complaints about US citizens not adopting black children is due mainly to the BlacK Social Workers. They will not allow a white couple to adopt a black child until the child has had several attempts to be placed with a black couple. When that fails, the kid is older and most likely troubled.

I thought i would disagree with you when you wrote "idiots" talking about a subject they know nothing about, but after listening to the segment, i realize you are absolutely right. The points these people are raising is prejudic (automatically they assume people are adopting chinese kids b/c they think they are smarter) I highly doubt that is the case and they just demonstrated the stereotypes they hold.

Dont speak such RUBBISH!Adoptive parents are JUST AS VALID AS BIRTH PARENTS!How dare u suggest otherwise!It takes amazing people to adopt.This film is DISGUSTING spreading lies,i volunteered in a chinese state orphanage with children living in apalling conditions.There r THOUSANDS of orphanages in china and only around 250 open to international adoption.MANY children in china are in need of parents.

Truth be be told..and most of those who posted here don't like it. The truth about supply and demand in adoption. The truth hurts but who does it hurt the most the adoptee who is taken from his family, his country, his roots for what so someone can play or pretend they are the parent come on..
I think there should be standards on adopters. Those that are too old to adopt here, shouldn't be allowed to adopt, same with weight requirements..

Yes, supply and demand is an ugly phrase to use with children. But we've decided as a nation that adoption is a service that provides children for the adoptive parents who can afford to buy them. Children are now a commodity. Don't like it? Adopt through the state.

I'm sure everyone who has adopted a Chinese girl (or girls in my case) has their own reasons for their choice. It's not fair to categorize all adoptive parents as these talking heads for CNN did. I mean, what was the point of having these two race baiters in this discussion anyway. They sure didn't stay on the topic very long.

As the parent of an adopted Chinese-American girl, I had say first hand that these people have no idea what they are talking about. Our decision was based on several factors; a safe & secure process where we did not have to worry about legal problems down the line, our child was not subjected to drug and alcohol in womb, our child was under 1 years old, and there are tens of thousands of children in orphanages there.

The complaints about US citizens not adopting black children is due mainly to the BlacK Social Workers. They will not allow a white couple to adopt a black child until the child has had several attempts to be placed with a black couple. When that fails, the kid is older and most likely troubled.

as a brit who has spent some time in asia, it's very refreshing to have stayed in a place than doesn't suffer political correctness. Common sense takes presidence over peoples feelings and moral virtues. They will prevail over us if we carry on with our western distorted ideas.

The Muslins do not allow adoption. How could a baby that has lived in an orphanage be healther??? OMG!!! If you research the guests they all have an agenda, even Yale papers stating to stop IA adoptions for a yr to force the US to provide a Black baby to the adoptive parents, This is to force the issue that we adopt from China because we are predjuice. Not one guest represented the adoption community! Just filling the airways with the "averge Joe's opinion"
