as for the focus, its record should have an asterisk because the honda (shortly before it was forced to save the life of its driver by committing suicide) thru its own pressure plate as hard it could in the direction of the finish line beating the focus by a significant margin. the fact that the focus won is only because the honda ran without an SFI approved scatter sheild, therefor its loss is by technicality.

The guy forgot to torque down the flywheel properly, so it wasn't completely flat which caused vibration and stress on the poor flywheels bolts, so when these bolts snapped, flywheel went thru the tranny casing and tore the car apart.
