  • Nice review mate.

  • joagava muito isso, jogo muito foda, peguei o jogo no Orkut, só falta imprimir ...

  • Yay for the music!

Starts with music from Conan the Barbarian, and jumps to Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.

Which I thought was fun, since Games Workshop HQ is in Nottingham.

    Great choices!

  • Why are you talking like willaim Shatner?

  • good review bud.. cest tu un accent quebecois?

im thinking of painting my miniatures.... you ever tried?

  • @valdemar8 : Well...I have a French version so they changed the names. Turns out Zargon became Morcar.

  • @TheFallenArises

Actually I think the game was released in Europe first and Morcar became Zargon for the North American release the year after. Not sure why, but in the Amiga game I have the name is also still Morcar. Nice review btw.. made me get the old board game out again and play it with my kids.

  • @TheFallenArises

It was actually called Morcar in the British version too. so yeah.

  • @valdemar8 " I like to punch old ladies, spit on babies, kick kittens, and piss on homeless people while they're sleeping. Also, I hate YOU ;-) " quoted off your youtube page. No, It sounds like you ARE being a prick. You need to calm the fuck down and shit. I know you apologized but, simply deleting your prickness would've been better. Wtf ever happened to politely correcting people?

  • they had different names depending on the version you got. It was Zargon only in the US

  • @valdemar8

    it was Morcar first.

and practically in every version EXCEPT the American version which was released a year later, where it was RENAMED Zargon.

Get your facts, before you start bitching and moaning.

  • i couldn't hear all the music in the background.

what other music did you use?

  • The Wizard is Zargon in the U.S. release, but nevertheless is Morcar everywhere else. Either way, same Chaos Ruler.

  • Bonne review, j'aimerais ça en voir d'autres!

  • Great review though, love the game.

  • OMFG French and canadian, i wouldn't have told everyone that if i was you.

  • What really made me laugh was later hearing about folks painting pieces but later I was introduced into War Hammer and I realized that ok War Hammer & Robotech is cool but MB RPG boarders are not b/c no-one will play w/ u! :( THAT SUCKED!

  • @nviso209 Did you know that HeroQuest preceeded Warhammer?

  • @DragonLord1975 Actually Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay was first. That's where the background for Heroquest came from.

  • Nice review! I played this at the age of 10-13 and used to create my own levels on graph paper w/ 10-20 page stories and rule sets. The irony really though is the fact that I usually just played it alone for weeks.... I was quite am imaginative child as I played many board games alone on a split brain format i.e. left/right brain in competition w/o knowledge of existing game setup.

  • @nviso209 i can understand u!! i was really sad when i didnt have anyone to play with...

  • ammmmmmmm u can also buy it in board game geek

  • your voice and tone bug the shit out of me!!!!

  • u dont find games like these anymore nowadays

  • i think its better to buy Descent

  • i made this game my hads whith paper furnityre and minatures!!!

  • I had this fantastic game, lot of time spent to play it in my childhood, also with videogame version for Amiga. There was another game at that time very popular but I don't recall its name, about a vulcano island and you had to reach the top... good memories

  • Are you thinking about Fireball Island?

  • Yes indeed! Here in Italy the name of course was different but is that one!

  • @goldengab Lost Valley of the Dinosaurs?

  • @goldengab

That game would be called Fireball Island

  • damn i want this game, i cost between 180 and 250 dollars on ebay and amazon new or used, my brother had it to but i never got to play it because the pieces broke and got lost because he never took care of it. :( ehhhh

  • try to find it on one of the european ebay sites, looks like those versions are a bit cheaper.

  • British version in a french box. Sniff... the memories

  • I loved this game! Thanks for bringing back good memories...

  • So many good memories with the American Version.

  • dont u hate it when the dice loose they color? i had to repaint mine :)

  • Salut mon pote =) je me demandais si tu pourrais me vendre ton jeu d'heroQuest ??

  • Malheureusement non...mais merci de l'offre ;-)

  • Yeah I'm French Canadian, so my English is not perfect, unfortunately.

  • Do you know George St. Pierre? He is French Canadian

  • Don't sound so bad to me

  • i miss this game so much, i wish gameswork shoppe would release this again, with new quests and stuff, i ahve noticed that the dnd board game is very simillair to heroquest, right down to the book of quests, and the way it's laid out, but it's not the same... thanks for the video, brings back some memories, of playing

  • Hero Quest is one of the best board games ever put together. Thanks for posting the video.

  • nice soundtrack additions ;) i hear hercules, lotr, even first knight!

  • 4:18- OH MY GOD!!! WATCH OUT FOR THE TABLE!!!

I was really excited to see you review this game. It is deniably my favorite boardgame. What could be better than a less complex version of D&D with lots of pieces

  • This is still the best game ever

  • Yeah thank I just buy it on ebay ! great video ! i played taht game when i was 13 year old LOl

  • i played it when iwas 5 :P

  • Very helpfull video

I'm waiting for the next ;)

  • this game is so great. i simply loved it!

  • Just bought the game by the strength of your review!

  • I do hope you enjoyed it ! Let me know if it was up to par with what I described :-)

  • is the only reason people play games like this because you cant go against each other in video games?

  • It seems you cannot really comprehend the philosophy behind tabletop games and thus of an epic -to say the least- tabletop as Heroquest was.You see the feeling of gathering people around a table being the dungeon master yourself, having prepared a quest for quest book and having the whole board set and ready pencils and such...gives you a whole different aspect of fun,not to mention the social factor on tabletops.

  • I couldnt have said it better myself.

    Great video

  • i love this game, i used to play it all the time , i have 2 of the exp paks for it. I wish i could find people to play it more
