I had this issue as well about 1 month after I bought my 4S. I took it to the apple store, they took it in the back had it for 20 minutes and brought it back and said it was fixed. About 20 minutes after I got home (about an hour drive from the apple store) it started doing it again.
I went back the next day and they replaced the phone. The tech told me that they were actually going to be sending my phone to Cupertino because apple was trying to track down what is causing these hardware failu
It's pissing me off because this phone is dubbed one of the best phones in the world, yet it has all of these bugs and shitty problems. I have the exact same problem, so I'm ringing my carrier tonight. Seriously, apple must be worth billions, you'd think they could test some the phones right instead of being retarded.
