  • the people laughing in the back are just envious of how well he is doing. I hate people like that at my law school.

  • Very good for a first time. Just please stop reading off the script! That's generally a negative.

  • Substance was decent, but for any 1L's watching this for tips I would not recommend adopting this sort of tone for oral argument. You need to be more deferential. Act like the judge is giving you an opportunity to explain and clarify your argument, not like the judge is your adversary. Also...don't ever tell the judge to "listen!" It sounded really obnoxious which is probably why those students were laughing.

  • nice work, especially for the first oral argument. confident and well prepared. good luck man

  • Pretty good - but Carnival Cruise is a 9th circuit case. I liked the purposeful availment line of argument, however it sounded like the freeware aspect of this case really hurt your position...

  • Good job man. You sound intelligent.

  • I think the laughing was in response to you telling the judge to "Listen!" haha...

  • What class was this for? Was it part of a Moot court requirement?

I think these kinds of presentations are rare in law school, outside moot court.

    Nice job though.

  • @mtb0829 it was for lawyering skills and values

  • I thought you did well... Pretty rude for people to be laughing, IMO. Seriously, wtf.

  • why were people giggling through out and plain out laughing at the end? How did you do?

  • I'm going to be using your technique for my oral argument: wide podium stance and righteous finger waving.

  • love the Law and Order outro haha
