  • @MrFruitsbasketfan

At 0:09, u can see him reaching his (tall) opponent.

I mean that with a very slight 'shift" he can gain 10 cm of range, and believe me, a direct punch in the throat do not need to tremendous powerful to be very effective.

And I don't get the point of your insulting words, do you really need that to feel good?

@expertillage, i misendestood what you said, confusing "israeli" and "is really". I present you my sincere apologizes.

  • the groin kick would be enough to get him on the floor

  • Why not a simple punch in the throat at 0.12 ?

Okay perhaps a 0.15 video is just not enough fancy.

Whatever "what's really martials arts" , that was very peacockish, just not martialartish at all ^^'.

And Krava Maga is not an martial art, but a fighting systeme.

  • @jazalh A (proper) punch to the throat is (almost) imposible (or impractical) if your attacker is bigger because his arms are fully (or half way) streched and your arms are shorter in range. That means you wouldn't get to his throat, and if you do, it wouldn't be with enough force.

  • gayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy israelis are gayyyyyy

  • very practical defense technique.

  • Ah, nice video!

  • Modern Defendo is better and safer!

  • @Szoki666 krav maga isnt supposed to be safe, its supposed to be effective. bt ur right, modern defendo is safer, b/c it was formatted with safety in mind.

  • i luv how ppl bag on these vids saying we dnt no shit but if thy new anything thy wouldnt take the time 2 watch ths vid

  • Hey Ryan.

  • Nice technique. I learned it a little bit the same..only after hitting him in the groin and you got his polse/hand you can deliver and ellbow to his hand. It wil break him for shure. Look at the video then you know what I mean. From there you can backfist and hook him and take him down. But this is JKD what im talking about

  • This is a joke. No one, no one, NO ONE starts to choke ANYONE like that. A choke is an emotional type of strike much like a person that uses a knife and if you wanted to ring someones neck you would be much closer and why would I want to get into a clinch if I were a lady? I need to get rid of my attacker as fast as possible. You will NOT be able to pull the wrists to the side and I can prove it even with a fit female. Moves like this you have to test out and not by a technique.

  • @neilneazer shut up man how the fuck do you know eh? people are different and yea especially if its a man trynna attack a woman, most men know they're stronger and will choke a woman how they want thinkin the woman is helpless, and even if it was a one handed choke the same rule applies, grab the wrist pull down or out and then strike

  • @Brady2k10 How do I know? Because I instruct it thats why. The rules dont apply. You're thinking technique instead of what works. If you are going to choke you're gonna do it with malice and anger and in doing this is a gross motor skill and again no one will choke anyone like this is a real violent altercation. You can not just grab the wrist and expect it to just twist it off like a bottle cap. You can turn your body and that'll release it. Try it under real stress and see if it works.

  • @neilneazer easy way to adjust it for strong grips is to try and grab the thumbs individually and pull out, breaking them. However you're quite right that when you're getting choked for real, you're usually too busy choking and gagging and panicking to really think about what you need to do to get out. Practice under controlled circumstances with actual choking(albeit lightly) is probably necessary to get it down nicely for real life.

  • @Brady2k10 grabbing the wrist only works in some circumstances(like if u know how to do it probably AND the person attacking is susceptible to pressure points+doesnt know how to counter that particular one)

  • @FlamingSwordOfDoom You're giving the attacker too much credit.

  • @kikook222 No, he's right.

  • yep.the israelis are professionals in killing

  • Go Premier..if you ever see a premier martail arts in your area get lessons from them cause their the best around!!

  • krav maga rulz!

  • I have to concur with jacklyw. if someone is much larger and stronger than you, you need to attack where they're weak, and in Krav, the first objective is to remove the immediate danger; going for the thumbs removes you from the danger and breaks the choke. it's also good to break the choke because it keeps your attacker's focus high, so that you can kick the groin more stealthily. that's textbook krav; there are other krav instructors teaching the EXACT same thing on youtube ie David Himenez

  • Going for his thumbs is EXACTLY what you should do. Doesnt matter how big the attacker is, his thumbs will always be his weak point. Everyone always thinks they no better. I dont see you on there showing us how to do it!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • u just don't understand. I don't care if you are 600 pounds. if you try to choke someone, your WHOLE body is expose to attacks, First attack is the groin kick. Most people go down after a groin kick.

  • It's better to know a little bit then nothing at all.

  • Of course you go to the thumbs, same time you go kick the groin. You can release the choke even if the guy is 160kg muscel man. You need to move the hands about 2cm.

  • well i think if they do that, then you should use an arm (outer foerarm) to strike their arms, then you should fuck their face up. but really this Israeli technique is more safer.

  • i dont think this would help me ,., ill just go for the eyes and run..

  • fuck dis style of counter attack is verry useful,....

  • Eh....everyone does it differently. If you pay attention some moves are more over the top wide angles, others are very close quarters. But yeah >> pizza?

  • sommething wrong here~~

he should first kick to the groin then to brake a choke ..

  • In Krav you remove the danger first. If the person is holding you out, you may not b able to connect a kick. Besides if you don't remove his/her hands, you can't breathe. If you can't breathe you DIE!

That would be a monumental failure.

  • Whatever...

but in this basic I prefer to kick first .. after kick you can easily brake a choke ..

even if a kick didn't come to the groin .. the choker will instenctively take his bottom back .. then to brake a choke is much much easier

  • Do both at the same time. Save time specially if there are multiple attacker.

  • what if they are choking u from behind or by the side? lik jupiter98111 and bruceDman, remove the danger and attack at the same time, if u cant break the choke u got max 30 sec b4 u pass out

  • if its a blood choke you'll have even less

  • From the "premier martial arts" homepage:

    Modern World Self Protection

Premier Martial Arts incorporates a combination of techniques found in four effective disciplines: Tae Kwon Do, Kickboxing, submission grappling and Kali to provide students with a realistic personal protection system for a modern world.

So why do expert village call it Krav maga?

  • 4)Krav Maga is not a martial art, but it is a combat system. The way you train it is a martial art way.

  • ...what's the difference?

  • Difference is in approach to training. Martial arts are to evolve your control of the body while combat systems are concentrating simply on preparing you for selfdefence and close quarters combat.

  • 1)Grabbing on the begging to get those hands off you is wrong. You should use "hook"-hard to explain just with words here.

2)Punching him when he is on the ground is wrong. Your leg is closer than hand (which can be grabbed) so use your leg instead of arm.

3)Krav Maga is preparation for real combat, so why do you train in kimono? You will not fight in kimono on the street, but in normal clothes.

  • by the way,its karate-gi,the kimono is the "jacket"

  • I'm sorry...I study East Asian cultures...and I know for a fact that's no kimono...it's more like a sports gi (clothing for martial artists in Japan)...kimono is more like a robe

  • They're premiere martial arts instructors, they're wearing their work uniform.
