The absolute worst part about this guy is that Tobias mode locked into his hawk form, you'd think that would be the mode they'd want to make look the best.

Another thing, I had the McDonalds happy meal toy of the time. It was at least ten times better than this! That's speaks volumes about how horrible a toy this is when the little cheap happy meal toy was better!

I'm not an expert on Transformers, but you've done reviews of worse toys than this one. Some of those Armada abominations (Hotshot, Laserbeak...) are far, far worse from what I can tell here. Still, I understand why it would be among your least favorites...not exciting, not a robot, and looks exactly like you. Seriously, that IS creepy.

Other than that you pretty much covered everything else, of wait... why not the fact they could have referenced practically the entire series by just having an articulated hawk figure, that way we would all be happy!!! = D

This Animorph toy has one of the more Transformer-like transformations of the line!

With most of the others, at least arms become arms/forelegs and legs become (hind)legs and the part-shifting aspects are less obvious.

I stayed away from Animorph toys to begin with... at least the ones that were suppose to look like humans and Earth animals because non of them were any good. They're like cheap knock offs except they're actually official Hasbro products. The only Animorph toys I forget what they're called but they were the six fingered alien centaur people. i had the hawk and the lion girl, i got bored w/ them and their sucky-ness and decided to make them somthing, i took the hawks human legs and put the lion's legs on it then i put the arms back in "human mode" and called it a gryphon....still looked a bit stupid but it was a little better

This isn't even my least favorite Animorph. Of course in my vision the Animorphs are organic cyborg hybrid aliens that were convinced by an agent of Unicron to hunt down Transformers. That makes it easy to explain certain flaws, and I ended up liking "Hawkwing" because of it. Then again, I'm a bit weird. :)
