Not sure why, but seems to be the case. An '80's Cadillac or Lincoln just doen't have the same lasting appeal for some reason.
actually, they wrecked quite a few. i watched a documentary about them making that comercial. by a factory test track where this was filmed there was a pile of at least 10 smashed cars
