The Movie already released on July 29th 2008. It was a straight DVD release maybe that's why u didn't hear about the it. I'm sure you can find it the movie in any dvd store.

From this movie preview it DESTROYED the book! Casting is horrible! Alyson Stoner doesn't even look like she is young enough to play Alice from where it starts. And they messed with the story line! Pamela's dad is super racist and would never allow her to be friends with someone who wasn't "American" The fact that Elizabeth is Parker McKenna Posey is bad.Wrecked it for Alice fans.

I agree! the books were very controversial and banned in many libraries, and they were amazing! I learned so much from them they never gave crap, whether it was suicide of e middle schooler or blowjobs or whatever, it was honest and heartfelt. This is just disney bs.
