  • My Jack Russell almost broke his neck trying to take in all of this. I wish I was filming it!

  • I'm going to guess you got the name from Radiohead's "The Tourist"?

  • This totally reminds me of blade runner!

  • Jack, I love your experimental stuff. It's unbelievable how amazing it is, keep doing what you do :)

  • @JerichoHerald Logic studio?

  • @TheDandyAndy1 jackconte . tumblr . com / Gear

  • Definitely Bladerunner. Can't help but to think of the city skyline with the towers of flames. I love everything Jack Conte does!

  • Dude,

Whore yourself about and you'll make millions!

  • we're you're great fans!!!!!! Will you ever come to Rome,Italy?! :D

  • That soundscape is outrageously cool and addictive listening - WOW!

  • Ground control to major tom...

  • Can I touch your beard

  • This reminds me of the sounds heard in the Disney movie "Flight of the Navigator" when the boy is lost in the woods & finds the space ship... Sweet!

  • I hate this stuff. It makes me feel like a hack in comparison

  • Hey man. Slow down.

  • Youre an amazing artist

  • ''Okay, bye. Thank you, bye.''

    You're adorable Mr. Conte.

  • I have to say, your music inspires me to write a film solely with your songs as the soundtrack

  • this video right here made me go out and spend thousands on music stuff and make my own videos because of this video right here! lol well not really but i did instantly zone in on the stuff going on haha..

click on my channel and watch my video of rock/rap/rnb/pop video song for my cousin that passed away last year to date.. kinda weird how the song was done on the same day without any planning lol...but this video did it for me right here! lol

  • great stuff, love ambient music!!!

  • this sounds a lot like something M83 would do

  • You are such a cool guy!

  • Te sales tio xD

    Youre awesome, dude!

  • Someone has influence from Gustave Holst, i think :)

  • How do you figure?

  • Some of the usages of long warm notes with simplistic melody work hearkened to moments within The Planets pieces by Holst, at least to myself anyways.

  • Perhaps in the slower movements. I follow.

  • @TheBadreception

First time I've ever heard someone actually use the word "hearkened." Nice job.

  • Comment removed

  • I want to hear more of this song... is the mp3 longer?

  • what kind of keyboarrd is that?

  • an awesome one =]

  • a wurlitzer, kind of fender-rhodes alike

it was used by supertramp and ray charles... amongst many many many others

  • reminds me radiohead.... charm..

  • Trent Reznor may enjoy listening to this

  • I love how he says his last name :D

    Conteee~

  • its how you're supposed to say it.

  • oh o_o

Well is still love it :D

  • Haha, i havent seen one of those neckalaces since like 5th grade!

    Very cool

  • haha, those necklaces were awesome. I wonder what happened to them. I thought I was super cool when I got mine, and I put gel in my hair... ahh the days. I think I will go get one.

  • This reminds me of Jeff Buckley- RIP

  • OGOL SIĘ ŚWINIO!

  • Stuff like this makes me want to get into music.

  • A tribute to the tourist? Im sure someones said that already.. But just in case.

  • Dude.

Feels like Eric Serra with his work on the 5th Element sound track. Which, by the way, is one of my favourite film scores.

Still digging everything you do Jack! Keep it up! Also.. tour.. in Canada? Soon? Please? :P

  • DUDE!! one of my favorite film scores of all time. incredible score, incredible movie! yes, i guess the influence of eric serra is unshakeable...

  • the fifth element was amazing hooked on it from the begining

  • the beginning really reminds me of classic star trek, lol

  • Jack you must of played your fare share of video games.. love the song. Its great when an artist has versatility.

  • not to be that guy on youtube, but can you do any better?

  • Yeah, but first I'll spend a couple of years figuring out what I can do better than.

  • This song sounds like an "intro" kind of thing. Like it would be the first track on an album and then it ould transition into something really awesome. Like on "You Forgot It In People by Broken Social Scene (FTW), the first song is an instrumental (Capture The Flag), and then it' goes into an awesome rocker (KC Accidental) Woo, I'm a music geek! Love the music Jack!

  • First two notes beg for a TOS theme.

  • man... sound like pink floyd... why not doing a song like that?!

  • That's 6818.18 miles an hour.

  • hahaha yeah! jack makes awesome things.

  • mmm...

reminds me of a clip I saw ages ago (I MEAN ages, about 10+ years ago), had music like that. Really relaxing...

    Great work!

  • It kinda sounds like Bowsers Castle to me? Very cool. :)

  • Hey man, slow down.

  • :D:D:D:D:D

  • @NeedsSemicolon

    Radiohead <3

  • very nice!

reminds me of treefingers by radiohead :)

  • JACK HEY HEY! Mang love the video! love the composition!

  • no problem Jack, just bought your cd at itunes :-)

  • This title is a reference to a Radiohead lyric, mayhaps?

  • Bladerunner. Makes me thing of Bladerunner.

  • i love that movie. one of the best movies every made.

  • Ah Jack, that statement just made me a even bigger fan, if that's possible.

Love the atmosphere piece, want more!

Oh, got the super cool dongle, betting it's the first one in Singapore. :o)

    Take Care!

  • dude, i would have liked this comment with less "lyrics" a lot more though. :(

  • I don't get the song.. music yeah I hear music.. yet what is this. lol

  • Is ambience...a bit of experimentation always is good...I wish every band had some experimental song..it helps to expand your musical mind a lot (I love to spend hours looking for funny noises with my synths and effect pedals)and the big thing is to turn it into something musical, and Jack has done so in this theme, is not the most popular way of music, but is music...you could imagine many things with this song, and imagination comes from experience, and experience from our own feelings = music!

  • thank you!! i agree. I wanted to try something new. this song actually took me a long time to get the sounds just right. i spent hours tweaking the tones to make them just how i like them. anyway, glad you like it!

  • Work = suck.

I like doing html and coding as it always gives room for learning. Yeah probably others have done more on myspace stuff since I don't have a myspace account yet love all cool tech/code stuff.. later.

ps. Bring back the usb thumb drive package.

  • album intro? please?

  • Wow. A totally great start, and that WHAM!!! a lame message...make separate videos man!

  • one page music awesome.

  • myspace = poops

  • dude

    qq

    what?!

  • mesmerizing

  • Wow! This is very eerie and great!

    Definitely needs to be longer!

  • You are a genius Conte

Sound space, cosmic, psychedelic to match Vangelis!

Conte congratulations for the fabulous job.

    Peace and Joy

    Ezequiel *****

    "...a world without borders."

  • That was awesome, but I really wish it was longer.

  • @TheMainMane that's what she said

  • You need more than HTML there. You need something that can talk to a pay-service like paypal and confirm that payment has been made and was successful, and then grant access to the music file.

I reckon PHP, Perl or Python could do the job, but I don't have enough experience to help you out. Maybe this might help you search for what your looking for though.

  • Cool, it reminds me of Godspeed You! Black Emperor.

  • Yea, I was thinking f#a# (infinity) through this too. Good stuff.

  • Yea this reminds me of GYBE a little,

    I love GYBE too...

  • nice carpet.

sorry can´t help you though ;)

  • I love the ambiance! It's a good interesting tune that wouldn't distract too heavily from something in the foreground, making it a good choice for game background music or something. Very cool!

  • What Organ is that?

  • "Space...the final frontier..." STAR TREK!

    Very cool, dude.

  • tooootally was thinking the same thing. hahaha :D awesome!

  • I was wondering why I couldnt buy the songs last night!

  • This song would be perfect for like the beginning of a space mountain style roller coaster.

  • OMG! so intense with creepyness! ahhh! favorited :D

  • Cool song, Jack!

  • This music reminds me of Brian Eno's great ambient. I watched and listened in awe...

  • lol that was creepy and awsome (i love the creepy part) then it wnet HELLO lol jack your so well....jack

  • Minimalist electronic rocks, excellent dude ;-)

  • what the duece mustache?

In the words of Karen Walker...

    Oh.... Honey....... No.

  • Isn't the HOG just hours of good times in an aluminum box? I love mine!

  • you should try analog modular synthesis... those holy machines change anybodies life (at least did so with me)

  • do tell. i'm all ears. any gear recs?

  • love to hear from you!haha

i personally started with an MFB Kraftzwerg (there is only a european dealer, i think that will be a problem in the USA)...then I bought a doepfer case for 30 modules and started to fill it up with doepfer and analogue system modules (all my modules are doepfer, analogue systems and I have 4 MFB modules)...I play guitar, bass and key-based instruments and modular synthesis changed my approach to music and the way I compose and produce...for sure a nice addup...byebye

  • uh...beam me up Mr. Scott. Jack Conte-now with double the mustaches!

  • I was thinking the exact same thing... very original series Star Trek-y....

  • This reminds me of the movie Sneakers when Whistler helps find out where they took Robert Redford by way of tunnel sounds and road seam gaps. Freaking awesome.

  • i LOVE that movie! best movie ever.

  • I really wish I knew how to do html coding to help you out!

  • Obviously you're loving that HOG! Great stuff.

  • i wish to have money for ehx h.o.g ...

btw. great song Jack ; )))

  • Cool! How'd you do the like glitching effect?

  • i just chopped it up in pro tools. took out bits and pieces of the audio. i did the same with the video and put a "TV" filter on in Final Cut Pro.

  • cool thanks

  • I'm glad you added the computer screen into your video. Certainly, that's an instrument also! Marius

  • you could easily do music for movies :D that sounded really cool

  • interlude!

  • What software was that?

  • someone HELP him now! His talent must be shown to the world!

  • This would be great for a score. Have you scored films before?

  • that was an epic video. LOVE the effects! :]

  • i love all your music

  • sweet

  • could you make it longer? jam it out a bit longer?

  • very interesting

  • This is great!

  • This was RAD dude!

  • I was just practicing "Yeah Yeah Yeah" for a show I'm playing tomorrow and then I saw you posted a video!
