He didn't get bogged down he bottomed out. I highly doubt it has indopendant rear suspension so thats why he got stuck. I've seen the same thing happen to a Honda similar to that one. My Cat wheeler made it through (same size 300 4x4) because the rear end didn't 'bottom out'
