i am a veteran and a former MP. i was in A787 for training and then was sent to Germany to serve with the 212th MP Co. the MP is the best job in the Army if you ask me. we trained hard fight harder and party like rock stars.we went to a bar in ansbach germany my buddy was hittin on a turkish girl and this turk started a fight with him. 6 of us went outside only to find 10 turks. those turks didnt stand a chance lol that happened fairly often lol i miss those days. god bless my MP brothers.

@cody3395 u get that when u get toLeonard Wood. while reception. u will get your shots and if u recently got shots take the papers and show it to them. u will get the final chance to tell them what u didnt not tell your recruiters. like dont lie tell the truth. you will get maybe more than 30 shots all together counting your unit shots. especially the small pox shot so ur immune can get used to it. they will give u everything dont worry. just dont do anything stupid in training. Man, back when i was in 89-92. The MOS was 95B, trained OSUT at Fort McClellan, AL (C Co. 787th!), we wore our brassards not a velcro'd patch. I served in Just Cause and Desert S/S.
My friend is a Canadian MP who just got back from Afghanistan. He worked along with American MP's and British MP's. Those guys don't get a whole lot of rest.
As a former MP (cold war germany) I can say MP's Lead The Way. It is the most thankless job in the army, everyone hates you until they need you, expect to be cussed, spit on, shot at, insulted and sneered at. At the end of the day, you as an MP are the first responder a victim will see, you might be the last person a soldier sees before he or she goes to Gods Gate, in the end...you are the MP, the bastion of honor and duty. But once in a while, you are thanked by those you help.

@marcusos1111 ok first of all the mos 31Bravo is MP so they are the most MOS's that always are in war. the only reason is because we are the ones that do the patroliing. If you are barely getting out of OSUT then most likely they will take you to iraq, for their is not much going on there so you can feel how it is out there. Ur second part you can always pick the MP MOS. It just matters how much soldier die, get discharded, or get kicked out. if its not available they will put u in DEP program.
@PrivateArtur i just got back from the recruiting office and the recruiter told me that there is a chance that MP is not available due to too manhy people joining he said even if i score an 80 the chances of getting MP are wayy to low!! that really sucks i dont think i even want to join anymore. thanks for the info
@marcusos1111 No problem but i would say join but tell them if it is possible if they can put you in the DEP program which mean Delayed Entry Program. I went through that to be a MP because there was no openinings. I waited 2 months and their was an opening because like i said some died, got discharded, or their contract was over. So ask them that. Keep ur head up and if u want try getting another job.

Being a former NCO in the Military Police Corp I really like the video and music as you don't hear too many good things about cop's in general because the public just does not understand the job that policemen and women do or see very day the hurt and pain that we see weather your Military or Civilain police. For people who don't know, each branch of the Military has a Civilian side of security and law enforcement functions. For instance, if you get pulled over by a Military Police on a base, good chance they are an employee of that branch and never signed up to be in the military nor went to boot camp. In some instances, they wear the same uniforms as the military.

back up pup...go through basic then ait...after that you are an MP...and just for future notice, you never lower case MP...Those two initials on your arm will never be lower case and you should never be lower case...MP's live to a higher standard, you cannot enforce military law if you yourself violate military law. I am an MP. I'm stationed at Fort Bliss. I'm about to go to K-9 School. I was in F-787 at Fort Leonard Wood back in summer/fall of 2007. Always remember where you came from!

back up pup...go through basic then ait...after that you are an MP...and just for future notice, you never lower case MP...Those two initials on your arm will never be lower case and you should never be lower case...MP's live to a higher standard, you cannot enforce military law if you yourself violate military law. From one former MP to a future MP. hooah.

I am a Infantryman in the army but when i was in iraq someone tried to break in my house and the Military police was there to protect my family. you have to honor the the military police. from one vet to another thank you for all that you do!!

it will be an AWESOME experience...may seem rough in the beginning but just enjoy everyday becuz at the end you won't want to leave...Also, cherish the MOUT site at Leonardwood...it's by far the best the military has to offer...

Hoosier best job in the Army? right?..hooah. This is a clue...give MP's no crap and you get no crap back, don't once you are stoped ever say "do you know who my husband is" and don't ever say MY HUSBAND WILL HAVE YOUR JOB. Be advised your husband could not do the MP Job. MP's are not like 'real" cops, they are army cops surrounded by trained killers..nope not like a "real" civ cop atall...MP's are held to a higher standard.

my kid would be 12 Yrs.old now, me being honest normal ex MP here after 6 yrs. and other volunteering more Yrs. just being good citizen, locals intimidated w / area authorities made fake court cases a few times with in ten Yrs new wife lost pregnancy horrified living in more fear, today we will not divorce as suggested by same authorities, smiles-only thing she can do for me& wants no repeats who can blame her functions less every month since. Real men / soldiers don't desert partners¬ forgot

lol times change lol when i was a M.P. (83-91) at fort Sam Houston, (LEA-USAG) we had Reliant's for patrol vehicles. In Germany, (537mp co.) we had Mercedes Jeeps.

Till today we have the Mercedes Jeeps (WOLF)! We used it for offroad patroling.Its going to be replaced this or next year by the Nissan PATROL.
For patroling in the streets we have Volkswagen T5 and Mercedes Vito (both vans).

Do MP's get to use the Stryker or only Humvees and MRAP's? I ask this only because you can clearly see Strykers in the beggining.
And why does the director show clips of US forces being attacked? I know it shows the hell they have to endure everyday but I personally have to turn away and can't watch that type of things in a tribute video. If anything, those clips are more of a tribute to those who the US Military is fighting against. Well thats just my thoughts.
