Rush may not be the leader of the Republican party, but he articulates conservative principles still held by a majority of the American people. A strong principled conservative republican candidate would have defeated Obama, McCain was a waffler and still received over 50 million votes. That fact remains despite Scarbourough's feigned exasperation.
Yeah, I know it was about 59 to 69, but that's kind of my point, he got that majority over McWafflerCain. I'm convinced an unapologetic principled conservative would have defeated Obama decisively.
