Second life is really a game for developers, its a place where you can make what you imagine and either give it away or sell it for real life cash. either way its nice making something and showing it to your online friends.
As long as you have a decent wifi connection, you can play in SL. You won't generally have the highest frame rates, but it is still usable and enjoyable. As far as the floating head thing, you probably need to rebake the textures on your avatars. SL has hundreds of settings and the first thing every1 should do is adjust your settings.
Although Secondlife is a soical platform, there are many aspects other than social. Everything in SL is created by some1 in SL. You can create almost anything and sell it to other avatars. So, really, SL is a development tool which has social aspects and 1 of the only free market economies in the world.
Ok , I hope you failed your class . Wifi gave you bad graphics ? The last time I checked your Wifi card didn't process Graphics.. I hope you realize this is just insane unless you where sitting just at the limit of the range of your Wifi that may cause the information to not load well (droping packets ect)... XD Second, you totally missed the point of SL, I have played off and on there for 5 years and you seemed to completely miss the point .
Second Life Looks a lot better than the graphics shown in this video. I cover some of the nicer places in my Wandering With Zarrakan Yue show. Check out my channel. Some of my more recent videos were shot in HD. You'll be amazed by the difference having a computer that meets the hardware requirements makes. =)
If you are ever interested, my avatar's name is Zarrakan Yue. I can give you a tour of some of those places.
Is second life a social platform? well I think there is a social platform within second life but there is a lot more to it than just meeting and chatting in a 3D enviroment. Did you look at the destination guide? That's a good place to start.
Nice video. Hadn't seen the hair problem for a while. xD There are a few things you can do to fix that even with a wifi, if you have a decent connection. Been around for about 6 years now on and off now, myself. I hope you got a good grade for it.
pretty but stupid noob your graphic card is bad baby.Just stay with FB and youtube
