the best thing that ever happened to this show was letting Nina Dobrev play Katherine. She nails the performance, every line she delivers is so spot on it gives me goose bumps.

The other best thing that happened was turning Caroline into a vampire. In season 1, i hated Caroline, like i loathed her, and then she turned into a vampire, and now she's arguably one of my favorite characters.

As well, the casting is amazing. Every role is perfection. Honestly, they pick the best actors out there.
