  • On december 24,2006 at 8 o'clock in the morning, a young 14 year old boy by the name of Scott Jackson was found dead. Docters couldnt come up with the cause of his death. His mother checked his emails to see if she could figure out what happened. Turns out he was still signed into myspace. She found out that he went to sleep after he read and didnt repost a letter chain. If you dont repost this to 6 videos a girl with no face will kill you tonight. Sorry dont wanna

    die.

  • so hard to be lez in this time...makes me sad

  • can i find the english subtitles?

  • @arakunehime It is an English film so it is in English, so unless you still need or want it in Subtitles you will be able to understand it.

  • does it have a happy ending? I've seen to many sad ones that i don't want to watch it if its not happy.

  • oldstory

  • serendipity! I came across this while viewing Portrait of a Marriage. Doing an internet search it appears it is finally coming to the US! I eagerly look forward to seeing the entire film as I also notice that all postings of the film have been blocked--understandable. I only glanced over the comments but did not see the film Daphne mentioned. I adore this film and am smitten with Geraldine Somerville's portrayal of DuMaurier. And the costumes! And music! Ahhhh . . . real treat.

  • I really want to watch it online but can't find it without having to fill in one of those stupid surveys first. Anyone know a website I can watch it on without having to register?

  • I went to the house she lived at today :)

  • What a touching account of her life...so sad :'(

  • I saw this yesterday at the VQFF; it was good but definitely not as good as Fingersmith ...which, in turn, was not as good as Tipping the Velvet.

Point of interest.....I was going crazy trying to figure out where I knew the lovely but empty-headed Miss Brown from from, until I realized it was Sarah Platt from Coronation Street!

  • Can't wait to see this film, and would love to do a review of it on our website that features over 100 lesbian films! I just sent your Youtube link to our Coming Out support group that has over 1,000 members worldwide!

  • great movie...

  • nothing beats fingersmith

  • Can't go wrong on that..Super!! Thank You!

  • Just saw the premiere for this an hour ago at filmsi.co.cc, HOLLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's sooooooooooo good in a action explosiony way and in a deep meaningful way. This trailer is very nice too, because it doesn't give away to much.

  • cheekbones...

  • ew old people

  • @deedee199198 Excuse me but this was this the first and official trailer used by the filmmakers themselves and it is also used by festivals and elsewhere all over the net. So if you have another trailer fine but don't say this is the wrong trailer. Thank you for viewing!

  • If they think making every movie make no sense at all unless you try extremely hard to follow it is a good idea I will stab someone. Inception was good... But not every movie has to be so confusing. I am checking this one at filmsi.co.cc tonight.

  • Excellent!

  • LGBT or hetero, we're all the same! Love is love!

  • Wow!!!

  • I just finished watching this movie, it was beyond my expectations, a wonderful love story. I couldn't keep my eyes off Tib, she was so full of love and so charming. *sigh* If only someone loved me as much as Tib loved Anne...

  • There was a time....a strange and dark time...when I didn't know who this man was. Whenever I saw his name, I thought he was a rapper or an athlete turned actor. This movie totaly changed my aspect... It seemed so silly :-)! watch this movie at moovi.co.cc, recommended!!

  • its almost the same as Fingersmith.

although ,i still think im going to watch it.

    [:

  • great movie for all ages... I saw it with my mom on moovi.co.cc and eaven her liked it and she's usualy really demanding when it comes to movies

  • Hej, you can not resist watching the film over and over again! Enhanced with the perfect experience on moovi.co.cc on which you will enjoy for sure!

  • They said it was all ahppening on moovi.co.cc...i dint trust them but once i watched it myself, i knew how good it was... its your turn now... check it out this week!!

  • People catch up with the Kungfu action on moovi.co.cc!! this is the place for watching movies.... You'll love it..trust me :)

  • I agree that the standouts are the dialogue and performances. However, I have to agree that it has been far too hyped. But all in all good movie to see on moovi.co.cc. Enjoy! The acting was well done.

  • Fingersmith or The Diaries Of Anne Lister

    Fingersmith no question

  • I feel sorry for Miss Brown and Tibb in this movie. So many guys have done that to me... not found me "suitible." For that matter, friends have done this to me as well. At the same time, I feel sorry for Anne, since Marianna spurns her. Very tear jerking scenes. You'd have to have a heart of stone not to be moved by their plights. It's universal agony-- wanting to love and be loved.

  • I love this film. I love how she always acted true to her nature.

  • Yeah!! This is it!! I'm shocked with this story. Nothing seems unrealistic...WoW, just wow!!! I could watch this hundred times and still saying wow!! See this for free on malifilmici.co.cc...Just balm for your eyes..

  • I like this film very much. Sad and moving. Anne Lister remained loyal to herself.

  • imagine hiw hard it was to love someone of the same sex back then...compared to now wow! i love all types of movies, whether its genre or time period to modern a movie is a movie i love them all

  • This movie looks to be really amazing, but where can I find it in America? :(

  • i wonder if im related to anne lister

  • leztuesday-educate us then. which movies, in your opinion, are some of the best you have seen? I for one would like to know, so I may try to find them. thanks

  • @lorikh08 The best ever is a list far too long to put here, but if it's lesbian films you want then I can help you. Join my website. It's free. The link is on my channel. There you can see all the lezzy movies you want.

If you watch my last video I have just launched my website's categories for our 1st annual lesbian awards. Have your say.... Hope to see you there.

  • I don't see how anyone could call it disappointing in the least. This is a great movie. So go and get it on kòòkica. Sometimes critics get jaded with hype, and you just have to come down on a movie, which is fine from time to time, but maybe a second viewing of the movie may make things clearer for you.

  • I don't even know where to start, this movie was so well made from so many different angles. Usually, going to the kòòkica is such a passive process—you sit back and are mildly entertained—but this movie is so NOT like that, it is really great!!!

  • Can't wait to see that movie on kòòkica. From the 1st moment i saw the trailer i was shocked.glad critics loved it and recomend it.That raises my expectations!!!

  • The Secret Diaries of Miss Anne Lister, a newly revised and enlarged version of the original I Know My Own Heart, has just been published by Virago. If you want more information go to the news section of our website and scroll down to access the cover - google galyic.

  • I think this film is one of the best made...imagine perfect world and yourself in it, imagine unforgettable journey???!!! Its pulled off brilliantly by the magnetism of everyone involved. There are also some brilliant set pieces. Never get tired of watching this movie. I saw it for free at kòòkica and recommended it!

  • Y lo maravilloso es que Anne Lister existió.

  • somebody can tell me where i can see the movie online and free

    please!!!!!

  • @109zaman Sorry did I miss something? This wasn't a comedy...it was a historical romantic biography / drama.

  • I've seen hundreds of lesbian movies, i'll vote for Portrait of Marriage as the best lesbian film/drama ever

  • @NgJ69 I agree...

  • where i can see the movie i jus looked the previews and i think is genial

  • beautiful movie, i love Anna Madeley . bbc always makes amazing films. BUT! nothing beats "Fingermith" <3!!

  • I'm already bored.

  • I like this movie although too complicated for me, we need happy ending story...nice video my dear...

  • I watchd this movie and leztuesday. I think some ppl see it as being best becoz it seems real. The movie tells truth to many lives, not onli tht of lesbian couples bt heterosexual couples... you dnt alays end up wif the one u love and the movie was greatly executed.. so I join the clan that says this is the best so far..... now i am looking forward to black swan

  • british accent is so cool

  • I have noticed alot of comments about this being the best film of it's genre. I'm addressing the lesbian film genre. Obviously you people haven't seen many lesbian films and it's multitude of genres available. Just saying..lol! Educate yourselves. It is a great film but FAR from the best.

  • @leztuesday I would include this film as 'one' of the best. For me, Aimee & Jaguar is top and Maedchen In Uniform and next, maybe GIA.

  • @leztuesday what's the best movie you've ever seen? I need some tips..;)

  • @samarajost That's easy cuz I love foreign lezzy films...It's my personal favourite not my professional opinion. I'm a sucker for romance but that still doesn't explain my choice but after seeing 2000 lezzy films and owning over 1200, my favourite without a doubt is a small picture from the Philippines called, 'Rome and Juliet'. Sorry!!!

  • l word is the best :) but its not a movie.

  • @leztuesday what would u say are the best 3?

  • @Elenorahh That is a very difficult question...What I can say is I have a TOP 20...So I would say TSDOMAL would be about 15.

  • @leztuesday

I agree...I believe that FINGERSMITH is a real masterpiece!

  • Probably the best of it's genre that l have seen.

Characters are believable as is the story line.

Funny and witty, Anne Lister is an admirable woman

for both her strength of character and her disarming vulnerability.

  • Thanks for uploading the trailer of this amazing film with great actresses... based on the true life of a very brave woman, diarist and traveller who is often called "the first modern lesbian" for her clear self-knowledge and openly lesbian lifestyle.

"I love and only love the fairer sex and thus beloved by them in turn, my heart revolts from any love but theirs." (Anne Lister, 1791–1840)

I can warmly recommend this wonderful film!

  • Oh god, I have to see this movie. Nothing is sexier than old school lesbians.

  • it reminds me by a movie called Heavenly Creatures

if you like this movie you must watch it

  • damn i was on holiday and read the page for it a day late O_o was so annoyed. ah well, will have to get the DVD :)

  • does anyone know if the shameless episodes with maxine peake are on youtube ?

  • Yeh peps, listen this is only for my fellow girls of Sappho, you wanna watch this and more lesbian movies, Cable (TRLW)/TV series (Julia & Mariana (in English))/animated/Comic Book, erotica, in fact any genre of any medium...check my channel for more info..

  • @ladypenelope1983 and @leztuesday - the music was especially for the production and was by Avshalom Caspi

    Musicians:

    Piano - Annabel Twaite

    Harp - Rivka Gottlieb

    Cor Anglais - Philip Harmer

    String Quartet - Atrium Quartet

    Electronics - Avshalom Caspi

The music was recorded at Lowstring Studios, Berlin and Hear No Evil, London.

  • that film was magnificant

  • i just watched the movie after doing tons of searching online as i cudnt watch it in the US but i must say it was amazingly put together . I loved anne listers character ..her acting was brilliant and so natural ..she did an awesome job in delivering her emotions it was definitely worth watching!!

  • @rmamma1 I agree it was better than Lister but actually, I believe Rome and Juliet were the best. Personal taste. If you're a lesbian movie buff..check my channel 4 some interesting info...u might like it.

  • This movie was really, really good! I loved the cinematography used and the acting was superb.

  • what music is it? in the opening part which shows her writing? a classical piece? composer?

  • @ladypenelope1983 I haven't a clue sweetie but if you find out give me a shout and let me know. ;))

  • @ladypenelope1983 She was writing her diary in code, like the intro said Anne did. And, by the looks of it, it was a mathematical code.

  • You can also see Maxine Peake on You Tube in Marple - They Do It With Mirrors. She was also excellent in this.

  • Best put down line ever is in this film

" Only in bed are you excellent "

  • Actually no you can't if you don't live in the UK. But for all the lezzies or to be politically correct, for LGBT ppl who read this, if you like lesbian movies then my site is the place to be. For more info, check my channel.

For everyone else, thanks so much for your comments. I have a new vid out.

  • WOW.....Wonderful!!! I'm anxious to see....

  • anyone can watch this at the bbc website, then type iplayer, then type the series name.... I was going to post the link but I was not allowed!

  • if i'm not from uk i can not see the movie?:(

  • @alessiamarcuzzi

you can watch this in the bbc website, iplayer

  • Who's going to be the first to post a music video (in the style of Otalia and Bad Girls ones) of clips from Anne Lister then?!!

  • The DVD is available to buy if you can't see it on BBCiPlayer and I think it may be being shown at some film festivals.

Maxine Peake is amazing. Her actions and facial expressions are so expressive and detailed and her perfomance is so believable.

  • @MissOtalia I totally agree - she's one of my very favourite actresses (and definitely my favourite British actress) and she's always so incredible.

She should be nominated for a BAFTA for this, I think (she should have been nominated for Criminal Justice - what on earth were they thinking when they passed her over??).

  • @OnlyJustWhisper I know I can't believe Maxine wasn't nominated for Criminal Justice. She was amazing in it. Her co-stars Matthew and Sophie were. I first saw her in Confessions of a Diary Secretary and in Little Dorrit and realising she is a hidden gem, began to keep up to date with her subsequent work.

  • @MissOtalia She should have been nominated just for her performance in the first episode alone. Stunningly good acting, it makes me cry every time. All the reviewers agreed as well, saying she was bound to get the BAFTA. I first saw her in Confessions as well, and then I actually got to see her act in The Children's Hour at the Royal Exchange, although I didn't realise it was the same person lol! I began to catch up with all her works this year.

  • @MissOtalia when was criminal justice on, it might have missed the bafta deadline and she might be up for it next yr. Julie walters was a deserving winner, i wanted her to win for a short stay in switzerland though.

  • @welshygems It was on in January this year but it must have been in time for the deadline as her co-stars were nominated and the actor who played her husband actually won. I agree, Julie Walters is a worthy winner for her portrayal of Mo Mowlam but I thought her performance in Short Stay in Switzerland earned her the BAFTA more.

  • hello i am here in the states and unable to watch it. is there anyway i can buy it????

  • @editica43 BBC Iplayer :) x

  • I saw this last night. It was so sad to see the struggle Anne Lister went through. She stood up to all the bigotry and hate just to be herself. She has become a heroine of mine, and i'm not a lesbian.

  • @AnonInEng Did you see the programme after? Looked to me she had no problems enjoying herself. Lesbianism has never been illegal and it was only the Victorians that majorly suppressed sexuality. It only became a problem in a coal mining dispute.

  • Im from America and i would really like to see it but i cant.

  • @NeverEverShoutNever8 Yes you can!

  • @Soralella71 ahaha I Get it!!

  • @NeverEverShoutNever8 BBC iplayer x :)

  • 'What you suffer? What YOU *suffer*!? ....you broke my h-heart..."

I don't react very strongly to trailers, I usually just get intrigued or curious. But for some reason, that line, and her delivery, totally won me over. I'm excited for this movie, it seems to capture the dizzying and ultimately uncontrollable ups and downs of love.

  • @Fairy206 I'm glad you enjoyed it and look 4ward to see...this is for all of you out there. If you can't see the BBC or it's affiliates I will try to post it asap..on my blog. If you love watching Lesbian movies, TV/Cable or web series or just lesbian coupes of otherwise straight series, then I have the place for you. For more info please go too my channel at YT (YouTube)

  • @Fairy206 h-heart

  • thanks lezt for tiping us on airing day! any idea when Lipservice will air? cheers
