I would tell her one time, to sit down and be quiet. I would explain that there is no reason to be having the tantrum. Autistic children, may have outbursts, but they are intelligent and understand how to reason. If she failed to respond to my authority and reasoning, as to why she shouldn't be behaving that way, that ass gets spanked/whipped. I'm not having that shit, autistic or not. That what I just watched was not ALL autism, it was a tantrum from not getting something she wanted.
She is one adorable and two ignore all the ignorant people in the world. You did a good job as for everyone's info....my little sister is Autistic and in fact it is a terrible! idea when they get worked up to get in the middle of it, it makes it terribly! like really bad worse, they can get them selfs under control it just takes a little bit. And giving them something doesn't help...god people these days really make me mad. DO NOT listen to them :)
Don't listen to these idiots. Obviously u are doing the right thing here. Giving her anything would just encourage the tantrums. BTW She is actually really pretty ...
What is this? There are like a bunch of you tube videos with little kids going nuts under the banner of "artism". Why is this so popular all of a sudden? Why are parents filming this? Shouldn't you take her to the doctor and get her some medicine or some antibiotics or aspirin or something? She sounds like she's in pain, maybe she has a fever. At least give her a piece of candy or a toy or something.
@RimmingHerAnus Well first of all it's not artism it's autism. Not so easy just to take your child to a doctor and then every things fixed it doesn't work like that. With autism, children like Azaria have tantrums that cannot be Easley fixed with a piece of candy or a toy. she is not having a normal temper tantrum like any other child would have and she is not sick. You might want to look up more about autism before you blame it on bad parenting.
My sympathy on your retarded child, but whats with the garbage cans all over the room? No but seriously, you are an aweful parent. You are clearly torturing your child in a subtle way.
@tekubus Ok, see people like you are just pathetic. My child is Autistic not Retarded. She actually has an IQ of 111 which is high average. To answer your questions about garbage cans in the room, please allow me to explain your highness. The dark green "garbage" can is actually what we use for laundry, hence the absence of a bag. The other garbage you can see was brought in from the kitchen because when my daughter gets worked up she vomits.
@tekubus When she has a tantrum, a garbage can is brought into whatever room she happens to be in. As for me torturing my child in subtle ways, I don't even take offense to that. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and you obviously don't have experience with Autistic children. If you did, then you would know that when there is an outburst, the best thing you can do is let it ride and only interfere if they become self injurious or attempt to harm someone
Interfering, 9 times out of 10, will do more harm than good. Thank you for taking the time to watch my video and also for telling me how much I'm doing wrong with a child you don't know.
Recently I've wondering if I might have Asperger's as I would get irritated as a kid if anyone unexpectedly clapped their hands or made any other noise that I didn't expect. Even now loud noises startle me and get on my nerves.I've been diagnosed over the years with CAPD, ADD, depression, even bipolar, but it seems like I don't fit into either of those diagnoses.
Seriously, have you ever tried to reverse contingencies with her? My wife, an expert in the field (she as a DSW), stopped a little girl from constantly vomiting to get attention--it was almost killing her. She taught the mother how to reverse contingencies in 5 minutes and saved the girl's life.
Azaria's autism is situational. The reason for this outburst is because I changed the position I was sitting in. If you read the description, you'll see that it already says it there.

There is not only autism involved but some 'normal' childish behaviour too, al little cute drama queen :-)
Ignore stupid comments from those who don't know a thing about autism, they are probably too retarded themselves to understand autism.

I have autism also, so I know how it feels for things like this. I've had similar experiences also.

Same here. I have Asperger's Syndrome though, but it's a condition that's more on the functional side. Plus, I spoke at an early age.

I have Asperger's Syndrome also actually.
