They were made by the same company...so thorpe park and oakwood both wanted i that specific type of coaster. But Speed came first though

This park is Situated in Oakwood Theme Park in Wales, and was built in 2006. The reason it looks similar to Saw the ride, is because it's made by the same company which is Gerstlauer.

Yes that story is true. One girl was launched off the water ride "Hydro" due to failure in the mechanism in the belt locks. Her water coat got jammed in the steel bar which enabled it to open un when going down from the ride. She hit the water at 40 mph and unfortunately didnt survive.

Her coat was stuck in the belt, she undid it herself which was her own fault, she fell from the ride and hit the water, she survived the fall but died in hospital later... if she hadn't have undone her seatbelt she would have been fine, her own fault tbh
