I had no idea that singers could sound so terrible when on stage, good God, Wendy is so incredibly off key. I have been in so many piano bars in Manhattan, and the talent that these aspiring (but struggling) singer-waiters possess FAR surpasses these rich and famous singers! The rooms are crowded and small, no amplifiers or high tech studio equipment, and just a piano player accompanying them, and they can wipe the floor with these so called "super-professionals".

They were WAY off key in this one. Not sure if Wendy's being off key threw Chynna off too, but the only one who came out of this sounding like she knew what she was doing was Carnie. Interestingly, in the other "live" video of this song, from 1991, they're obviously lip-synching, although they performed "Release Me" live during the same 1991 show. Maybe Wendy just wasn't cut out to sing lead live.

just wondering if any of you who are saying they are off key have EVER been to a live concert?? Most live performances are not perfect... AND a little off key. When you play live you don't have the luxury of a second take. That is what makes a live show FUN! For the most part, I think they did great... ESPECIALLY with Wendy's stage fright!

Actually, this group had the best harmonies along with En Vogue since Abba. This performace is ajust a little off-key. Everyone has a bad night. Check them out for "Hold On" this same night. They did a great job. This little cutie singing live, Wnedy Wilson, had notorious stage-fright. Its why Carnie, her sister and Chynna always helped her on stage with her performances.
