I am against balls with holes. We play exclusively with balls that have no holes. That way, we put more emphasis on hitting as opposed to pitching. We want the edge to offense. A holey ball makes the balance of power soley in the hand of the pitcher. Hence, it becomes a boring game. We have tape-measured blasts and balls in the gap at 120 feet. Balls with holes produce no hitters and shots that go 75 feet. Solid balls without holes is a game of perfect balance of pitch and hit.

Wiffle is much easier on the arm because it's super light, not trying to force a heavier ball.... but either way, proper mechanics of the torso and legs would allow the arm to do as little as possible. (the right way).

@MrMaggotforlife13 Clearly, you can hurt your arm throwing any object.

For a fraction of a second, the forearm is bent back at a maximum angle and then accelerates the full weight of the object toward the target. Then as the arm explodes forward it straightens out and our ligaments, ect. keep our arm safe from hyper-extension.

The deceleration of the arm IS important, so you may have a point if it's over thrown.

Throw properly and listen to the arm.

@MrMaggotforlife13 MrMaggotforlife, I'm not a medical doctor as I assume you aren't. I will say that wiffle ball is softer on the arm because it is a lighter load on the elbow. From my experience with both, my arm feels better after wiffle (and I throw wiffle 7-9mph faster than a baseball).  And I never said pitchers get forearm injuries, of course they occur at the joints...

It is so easy to pitch the wiffle ball with movement, and velocity, it is rediculous. Overall baseball requires more skill. Still, whiffle ball is really fun to play as a game, but I don't think it should be a serious game with leagues and all that

My buddy has a Juggs gun from when he was on the highway patrol. You can set the span control and calibrate it up to whatever you want the baseline to be. You can set zero mph at 50 mph so it really reads 47mph as 97 mph. It just adds the mph to whatever the basline is set at. ROFL It is physically impossible to throw a hollow plastic ball with holes in it creating drag and weighs just a few ounces over 55+ mph.
