do you know if there is a big difference of the EM800 or the EM700 ?

I'd say the EM800 sounds a bit clearer, but because of the missing pad switch I'd prefer the EM700. The EM800 has really high output, so this can be a problem. That's the reason why I don't use it for the HiHat.

@xmxaxrxcx thx for the reply. Im going to use the EM800 like a mix of overheads and tom mics - (dunno if that makes sense to you) - do you think I will get a good result or should I just go with the EM700? btw. the room im playing in is really loud.

thanks for you comment, mostly I use Ambassador Drum Heads, but in this case I used a CS Clear. It sounds a bit more dry.

It's my favorite Bass Drum Mic. It sounds good in nearly every situation even when you don't eq it.

Compressor and a small hall.

But I think it's close to the natural sound.
