In case you didn't know, when you hold shift and drag to highlight text, you can drag anywhere on the screen, not just where the text is.

It does, but only if you use the shortcuts for copy/paste

Copy= hold gesture area + c

Paste= hold gesture area + v

Yes! That's what I love about Palm. While it is really well-designed and easy to use, it still has much of the flexibility and large number of options as a full computer. Simply having a menu bar (and key commands!), like on the Mac or Windows, makes so many more features possible and faster to use, when learned.

I think the shortcut will be Orange button and letter, the center button is only for cards.

The orange key is for functions.

Yes, I believe you are right. It is kind of hard to tell because I don't have the actual Pre hardware, just my Macbook Pro.

Actually, according to the leaked user guide, the shortcut is 'hold gesture area' + c (for copy), v (for paste) and x (for cut).

Not the center button nor the orange key..

The emulator is in a very limited release stage. Everyone that uses it is under an NDA. Technically I shouldn't even post these videos :-P It should be available publicly after the release of the Pre.

I think it's actually a button on the keyboard, the "function" sorta thing.

Also, can you check and make sure that you can copy and paste in the browser?

I have heard rumors that you will not be able to copy and paste from the browser. I tried doing it using the same method I used in this video it did not work. The cut copy and paste options are in the drop down menu but I have no way to select the text. Then again this could just be limited on the emulator and not the actual Pre.

Copying from an input box works just fine I made a video on this I will post it tonight as I have to leave for work shortly.
