  • @mofoprada youtube dot com /watch hunter the TIGER be/hx2-5TbRzEc youtube dot com /watch jafar THE TIGER be/ywstpxuhEEc

    1ST video HUNTER 675 - 700 POuNDS

2nd video JAFAR 690 pound male siberian

  • @kangarooHeart Those tigers are huge, no doubt about that. They are probably in the upper 600 pounds, but they are CAPTIVE. The lions that I showed in the two video links are WILD. And they are easily over 500 lbs. And probably closer to the 525 to 560 pound range.

BTW: Take a look at this CAPTIVE White Lion. He's good competition for your two CAPTIVE tigers. He's around 300 kgs.

    youtube dot com /watch?v=l9KFykrj8pE&feature=related

  • R.I.P

  • B2 is dead ,sad!i always wanted to watch him live !

  • Looks like a bear, that thing is huge

  • just see this video, tigers are pure power. tigers are more bear-like built. tigers are proven to have larger and stronger muscles than lions. tigers are the more robust animal. dont forget about the terrible ferocity a tiger can unleash.

  • omg, all this discussion about tigers and lions is useless. you just have to take a look to their anatomy and body structure, and you will see that the tiger is more robust and significant stronger built than the lion. also tigers are more athletic and more cunning than lions. thats not bias, thats the fact. tigers have the physical advantage in term of size, power, strength, speed and agility over lions. fanboyism is useless, and leads to bias.

  • tigers are stronger than lions. the lions mane offers no protect. its just hairs, not a steel shield. deal with it, the mane is just so attract females, nothing more.

besides that, actually tigers and lions have THE SAME muscle mass. dont lie, its a fact. but because a tiger is bigger and heavier, he is stronger. so yeah, a tiger would kill a lion more often than a lion a tiger.

  • @whitehollow1 A Lion is substantially stronger than a Tiger...would would wood ? (in yr ear?)....Lion do kick Tiger ass...you mean you are desist being in the real world and make yr own world up...slimy lil gay prik.

  • @hoyfanofboulder A Tiger is substantially stronger than a Lion. tiger kicks lion ass easily. a tiger will always win against noob pussy lions. you fucking gay butthole. someday i will rape you. remember this.

  • @whitehollow1

I notice a tiger is more balanced throughout it's body....I also think it is stronger because of jumping and sheer power.

Lion's have the bulk and power on their front mostly......

  • @AceofDlamonds this is true. lions hindlegs are not so well built, while tigers both hindlegs and frontlegs are very well built. also tiger has a bit larger muscles. means more physical power.

  • @whitehollow1 Where are you now?

  • what a badass tiger. he definetly would destroy any lion into 1000 pieces.

  • "lions rarely exceed even 440 lbs"

440 pounds is fairly average for Crater lions, which are currently the largest lions in the world. Most lion populations average between 350 and 410 pounds.

  • These videos provide proof that South African Lions can reach the colossal size of the Bengal Tiger.

  • I have not seen a wild lion with the size of bengal tigers such as Madla, hairyfoot, bokha, b2, agasthya etc. Lion's taller structure, bigger mane can make it appear like large. But, bengal tigers are more heavier, longer than lions. Kaziranga tigers are even larger. You see, lions are called as second largest cat for good reason.

  • @Tiger0wnsLion I've seen photos of South African Lions that are as big as Bengal Tigers. And some of these photos I've sent u via a message, so check them out. Just check the girth, forearm definition and body length of these lions and you will see what I am talking about.

  • That Tiger is big. But the Lions in these videos are just as big:

    youtube dot com /watch?v=zFYv57g3VRk

    youtube dot com /watch?v=GMhxKxin_ZA

The Lion in the first video probably weighs around 500 to 560 lbs. The Lion in the end of the second video probably weighs around 530 to 585 lbs.

  • Nice videos of Huge 200 kg Lions.

  • @Tiger0wnsLion Hahaha. I knew u would say something like that. Dude, those Lions weigh a lot more than 200 kgs. Maybe not as big as that Tiger but at least 230 kgs.

  • @Tiger0wnsLion A Lion is substantially stronger than a Tiger jinseng cock.

  • @mofoprada

b2 is confirmed to weight about 300 kg/661 lbs. many males in bandhavgarh national park have been recorded over 550 lbs.

the lions in your 2. video are standing on higher ground and have big manes, which gives you an illusion of size. at 30 sec when the male steps down on the street you can see !

maybe you should have a look at the "Tsavo lions", they are considered to be the biggest lions, but the males have almost no mane. makes a "big" difference !!!

  • @violinbubi Good points. If you say that this Tiger's weight is confirmed, then I believe you. I have seen pictures of "Tsavo Lions" & although they are big, they are not as large as South African Lions or the Barbary Lion (which exists in captivity). Some of the largest wild lions have come from South Africa - namely the Transvaal subspecies. And others from the Barbary subspecies, which is believed to be the largest subspecies of Lion; capable of reaching the size of Bengal & Siberian Tigers.

  • @violinbubi Also take a look at these Lion videos & tell me what you think. All these cats are huge. Especially the 650 lbs. male that appears in the third video. The lions in the other two videos easily weigh over 500 lbs. I don't think there is any doubt about that.

    youtube dot com /watch?v=pKKMAF_wt9Q

    youtube dot com /watch?v=NvoyMq84GO0

    youtube dot com /watch?v=gIyi64YfD4Q

  • @violinbubi No...your fantacism for the blinds you...Lion's have significantly larger msucles, ae substantially more robust in build, and are exceedingly mioe ferocious than Tigers.

  • @mofoprada those lions weigh probably 400lbs max..skinny fuckin lions!

  • @GuccivsArmani Dude, I don't know what you are talking about. Those are big Lions. Either you don't like Lions or you don't know how to judge the true size of those cats. No way do the Lions in those 3 videos weigh under 500 lbs. Just see the videos again & you will see that your estimate is WAY TOO LOW.

  • @mofoprada He's an Eastrn Tiger fanatic...blind...daft....Lion's have substantially larger muscles than Tigers...

  • @mofoprada watch jafar THE TIGER youtube/ywstpxuhEEc

  • @mofoprada wow awesome lions.. the first maybe around 230-260 kg, the second maybe mmm 220-250 kg.

  • @TheDoomsday2011 Your estimates are pretty accurate. Those males are very healthy and large. And tiger fans say that WILD lions can't exceed 500 lbs or reach the size of WILD Bengal or Siberian Tigers. These two video links will help disprove this BIASED belief.

Also check out this 300 kg beast.

    youtube dot com /watch?v=l9KFykrj8pE&feature=related

  • @mofoprada dat ws maybe d only 1 lion in universe over 300kg but tigers weigh average 230-250 kg minimum ,african male lions 180-210kg only, average national geographic --a tiger with 50kilo weight advantage could easily kill alone lion. see dis powerful killercat ---B2 youtube/zT0WpntqqaA

  • @kangarooHeart B2 is one large Bengal, no doubt about that. But he has never been weighed by scientists, his weight is only estimated. Idk what u are trying to prove by showing me another video of the same tiger in this video page.

  • @kangarooHeart Also as accurate as Nat'l Geo is, they're wrong about the average size of lion and tiger. The average African Lion is 400 lbs, the average Asiatic Lion is 385 lbs. According to big cat experts, the weight of a male lion greatly varies based on genetics (poor or weak), geographical location and food availability. This is not the case with tigers. The average Bengal Tiger is 488 lbs. The average Siberian Tiger weighs b/w 350 to 420 lbs, according to the "Siberian Tiger Project".

  • @kangarooHeart You are wrong again about lions weights. Wild lions have been recorded at 600 lbs on more than one occasion, with a popular Transvaal Lion weighing 690 lbs. So that 600 lb White Lion that I showed u is no fluke. Lions have the capability to reach a tiger's size, it just doesn't happen as often.

These videos should help you understand the scale of a fully grown male.

    youtube dot com /watch?v=-1wlHi_KK1U

    youtube dot com /watch?v=gIyi64YfD4Q

    youtube dot com //watch?v=jOFt_NnOZxw

  • @kangarooHeart Oh and the third video link is typed INCORRECTLY. Here's the correct link of another 600 pound lion.

    youtube dot com /watch?v=jOFt_NnOZxw

This is the same lion from the above link. That way u can get a close up at his true size.

    youtube dot com /watch?v=gW_x-2MXrkI

    Enjoy.

  • tiger rocks anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I just saw a 551 pound lion and then I saw this and it's amazing how big this tiger is!!

  • was that a gun sound i heard?

  • the avrage bengal tiger weighs about 490 pounds while the average afrcan lion weighs 400 pounds, lions rarely exceed even 440 lbs

  • @sam009tiger Wrong

  • @sam009tiger That's incorrect. The average Bengal Tiger weighs around 475 lbs, while the average African Lion weighs around 415 lbs. And a recent study of African Lion Subspecies indicates that the South African Lion weighs on average around 430 lbs; with Lions in Zimbabwe averaging 445 lbs. In fact nearly all of the largest Lions on record have been found in South Africa. For example a 690 lb. cat from Transvaal, a 585 lb. beast from S.A. and another 553 lb. Lion from Transvaal.

  • Still the lion weights given by you are smaller than tigers. Nepal Bengal tigers average 235 kg(520 lbs). Kaziranga tigers are even larger. Don't forget the largest record bengal tigers exceeding 700 pounds including an 857 lbs monster. South African lions can't reach these sizes.

  • @Tiger0wnsLion I am NOT claiming that South African Lions are larger than Bengal Tigers. I am claiming that South African Lions can often exceed 440 lbs, and even exceed 550 lbs (on more than one occasion). Something that some Tiger fans claim rarely happens.

  • @Tiger0wnsLion Now, that 857 lb. Tiger is the "largest" Bengal Tiger on record, but this Tiger record is under heavy controversy. This Tiger was baited, in which it could have consumed as much as 1/5 of its own weight before it was hunted and killed. And according to Dr. Schaller, the "real" weight of this Tiger would have been 311 kgs. or 685.6 lbs. a huge Tiger nonetheless, but not the biggest.

  • @Tiger0wnsLion As far as you and I are concerned, the "largest" non-controversial Bengal Tigers weighed slightly over 600 lbs. These two Tigers were called M105 & M026 and were tagged by scientists in 1984 in the region of Nepal. This record is followed by a 570 lb. Bengal Tiger that was shot and killed in Northern India in 1938. Unlike your 857 lb. Bengal Tiger, my 690 lb. Transvaal Lion is official the "largest" wild Lion recorded, with no controversy behind its measurements.

  • 857 lb bengal tiger is the largest wild tiger in record. It is there in Guinness record book. The weight was Verified by government authorities. It was nearly 11 feet in length, massive in size. There is more than 150 lb difference between largest tiger and lion. Lions can't reach the size of tigers. That's why they are called as second largest cat.

  • Unfortunately, Lion fans get influenced by hollywood movies like Lion King, Narnia etc, but they totally forget the fact that there is a biggest cat named Tiger which is stronger and larger than lion.

  • @Tiger0wnsLion I do not get influenced by those movies... I know that the wild Bengal Tiger is larger than the wild African Lion. I am only claiming that the difference in size is NOT as massive as you & other Tiger fans claim it is. I know that the average Bengal Tiger weighs about 50 to 60 lbs. more than the average African Lion. But some Tiger fans claim that the average Bengal Tiger outweighs the average African Lion by as much as 100 lbs. Which statistically speaking is NOT TRUE...

  • @Tiger0wnsLion Oh by the way, it has been scientifically proven that, on average, the Lion has MORE muscle mass than the Tiger ... According to science about 56% of the Lion's mass is pure muscle. That is MORE than the Tiger. Tigers might be stronger, but its not by a lot....

  • @mofoprada Tiger is NOT stronger. A Lion is substantially stronger than a Tiger.

  • @hoyfanofboulder The Bengal Tiger's 60 lb. weight advantage on a wild African Lion makes him stronger (not by much, but stronger nonetheless). Lions do have MORE muscle mass than Tigers. Its been scientifically proven. In the end, the Bengal Tiger's weight advantage is the reason for its greater strength.

  • @hoyfanofboulder That DOESN'T mean that a Lion can't kill a Bengal Tiger. On even weight, say 520 lbs. for both, a Lion can kill a Bengal Tiger. Its instinct to aim for the cat's back legs & stomach, along with it's thick and protective mane gives it a chance to kill the Bengal Tiger. Bengal Tigers (and most Tiger subspecies) usually aim for the neck of its opponent. If the Lion has a thick mane, the Bengal Tiger will have a tough time defeating the Lion.

  • @Tiger0wnsLion i agree 101%

  • @Tiger0wnsLion Again, although that Tiger is "officially" the largest wild Bengal Tiger on record, this Tiger is under heavy controversy because this cat was baited (in which it ate a good portion of its own body weight) before it was killed & a profession (named Dr. Schaller) said that the real weight of this cat would have been around 686 lbs had it not been baited; a more realistic weight than the recorded 857 lbs.

  • @Tiger0wnsLion And think about it, the largest wild Bengal Tigers usually reach the 600 & on RARE occasions the low 700 lb. area. It doesn't make sense for 1 Bengal Tiger to weigh 150 lbs more than any other wild Bengal Tiger on record. IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE! You do not see that large a difference between the largest & 2nd-largest wild Lion on record; 690 lbs. for the first and 600 lbs. for the second. And those two Lions were recorded on different parts of Africa. That 857 lb Tiger was fed....

  • @Tiger0wnsLion A Lion is substantially stronger than a Tiger. You delusional little monkey. Slimy gay prik.

  • @Tiger0wnsLion Actually minus the stomach contents that Tiger was 632 lbs...further investigation found one of my 225 balls in it's stomach.

  • @Tiger0wnsLion the largest weight ever recoreded for a lion was 650lbs

    the tigers was 715lbs

  • @TheTherealnigga 690 lbs. for the Lion. 715 lbs. for the Tiger is probably accurate but I'm not 100% sure...

  • @mofoprada oh yeah right thx 4 the correction lol

  • @TheTherealnigga No problem. :D Where did u hear about this 715 lb. Tiger?

  • @mofoprada it was on animal planet a few years back

  • @TheTherealnigga ohhh okkk. Thanks. :) Let's see if "TigerOwnsLion" comes to his senses. He thinks that everything I'm saying is either made up or just said to favor the Lion; which is ridiculous. Everything I have said is pure fact....

  • The largest Tigers have belly fat ...if you can't see it you are probably already biased.

Just youtube search for "500 pund lion" from National Geo.

You will see there how a WARRIOR looks like.

  • @JinenFordragon suck my dick, someone seems mad ahaha

speaking of lions..i am actually going to a game reserve in Africa to get some trophies on big adult male lions..so damn excited .

    africanskyhunting.co.za/trophies/lion-hunting.html

^^ I want something like this on a .375 caliber

  • @AyazSiddiqui88 Maybe you will be some gay boys trophy. It could be your turn. You should think in those terms next time to give oyurself a little perspective.

  • @sam009tiger no they rarly exceed 600lbs get the facts straight

  • @TheTherealnigga Sit yr ass down and listen to straight adults. 500lbs plus Lions are not so rare. 550lbs Lions are more rare.

  • @hoyfanofbouldeman i'll smack shit outta yo dumb ass i said 600 lbs lions are rare small puny human

  • @sam009tiger Asiatic lions weighs up to 193 kg African lions weighs up to 230 kg Barbary lions weighs up to 260 kg Sumatran tigers weighs up to 211 kg Indochinese tigers weighs up to 264 kg Bengal tigers weighs up to 275 kg & Siberian tigers weighs up to 310 kg!!!

  • @CHADE472 no

  • @sam009tiger lions cocks and balls weigh more than tiger newborn...perhaps that is whi some of youo easterners look so puny...eating tiger cock...be more of a real man and eat yr daddies cock ...then something even bigger...yr brothers covkk and eventually richard simmons' cockkkk...stop there as that is where your evolution ends.

  • my god that was a big boy, did you see the size of his arms, so much power.

  • 700 pounds? I'd say more like 600, but still a very impressive animal.

  • This is a 500-550 lbs tiger, NO MORE and to the poster 300 kg is 661 lbs, SILLY EXAGGERATION.

  • yeah i'd say that tiger in this vid is prolly around 550 maybe 600 pounds. But Siberian"Amur" Tigers easily get to 700 even the large males get up to 800 pounds.

  • @Tigerownsall1 ...Siberians do not easily get 700- 800lbs in the wild. They, typically, range from 560lbs to 680lbs

  • Dude i know everything there is to know about tigers so whatever u think is irrelivant to me. So i'm not even going to get into a debate with u. Im not going to waste my breath.

  • @BOSNIAisHERE , and I would say it is like 800 pounds

  • I agree... he looks like its weight is around 500 to 550 lbs.... that's not 300 kg... Besides the average Bengal Tiger is around 450 to 500 lbs. The average African Lion is about 420 to 450 lbs.

  • Historically Siberians are the largest of modern cats. Most of those giants have been hunted in the wild. In captivity Siberians usually outweigh lions/bengals

  • lions do live under the same threat that tigers do... In the last 20 to 30 years, the lion population has dropped about 40 to 50% due to pouching, loss of habitat, & hunting... Also its been proven that lions were the most abundant species of land mammal on earth (after human beings). They were spread out through Africa, Europe & India... Their population numbers easily outnumbered the Tigers...

  • hey im a tiger fan but i like lions as well. I dont put down the lion. Its just tigers are more superior than lions in every single aspect.

  • @Tigerownsall1 ...no

  • I do get the difference. That's what i meant in the (). Barbary Lions are extinct in the wild, its not possible at this time to prove that their weights exceeding 600 lbs (maybe in a few years) are true or exaggerated. But the Siberian Tiger has been confirmed with the site i sent u. Also I never said that Bengal Tiger weights were exaggerated, in fact I never mentioned it; also 6 Barbary Lions are being raised in the Aquila Game Reserve, near Cape Town, in efforts to restore the Cape Lion.

  • Oh yeah by the way, the Siberian Tiger's weight could be just as overrated as a Barbary Lion's (though this one is not proven yet). The Average Siberian Tiger weighs around 160 to 190 kgs, that's about the size of an average Bengal Tiger, if not a little larger or smaller. Sure some will find some Siberian Tigers of enormous size.

  • We have scientific evidence about Siberian tiger, but we don't have scientific evidence about barbary lions. Get the difference ?

Modern Siberian tiger average 430 lbs, that is 193.5 kg (from limited samples) according to Dr.Dale Miquelle, ranging from 174-215 kg.

Modern Bengals weigh from 200-270+ kg, upto 300 kg according to tiger expert Dr.Karanth. Kaziranga bengal tigers may weigh slightly more than 300 kgs.

  • Siberian tigers are not easy to be overrated because even they are rare, they are protected and observed by scientists very well. People care about this animals, so there is no way to be a rumor or something to over rate their size

  • i'm not saying that mine is scientifically proven either. lol I'm just saying all these population counts are just estimates or hypothesis. Yours can be right or wrong just like mine. that's wat i'm trying to say.....

  • At least my claim is based on credible WWF website. It is a leading world animal conservation website, they know what they are talking about.

  • Again u got ur population counts from WWF, right??? I'm not saying that they are wrong, but they are making an estimate (that could be more or less)... That is not scientific proof, its more like a hypothesis that can only be proven to be right or wrong by getting the exact population. Again I'm not saying its wrong, but it's not proven to be right, its a hypothesis.

  • You are talking about Scientific proof ? LOL !!!

OK, bring scientific proof that 1200-1800 indo-chinese tigers and 700 malayan tigers exist in the wild.

  • Yes, there is the Asiatic Lion, it typically weighs around 160 to 190 kgs. Its obviously smaller than the Bengal or Siberian Tiger, but larger than the other 4 subspecies of Tiger & u know it! I'm not comparing to the Bengal or Siberian Tiger, its not a fair comparison. Again Bengal & Siberian Tigers don't make more than 50% of the population, the numbers don't add up. If it did I would have thrown the towel in already, I'm not a crazy fanatic in denial... I'm giving my opinion based on facts..

  • I proved Bengal and Siberian tiger make up more than 50% of tiger population, by authentic conservation related website. Go and check the website i gave. You are far from facts and of course you live in denial.

  • any scientists will tell u tigers are biggest cats on earth

second u mention population of bengal and siberian tigers

they have problem to live with human being, it's not about animals comparison

100 years ago, we have 40000 tigers in india

it's lions' lucks they don't live near humen, and they don't considered worth to kill or eat

  • I don't live in a fantasy world. I do know that there are subspecies of Lions. U forgot to mention the Asiatic Lion & Barbary Lion. The Barbary Lion lived in North Western Part of Africa & had skeletal differences to the Central & South African Lions, & was known to be similar to Asiatic Lion (at Least with it's skeletal structure). The lion subspecies are less spoken about the the Tiger's, since there are no specific weights & lengths for the 5 African subspecies. In my opinion there should be.

  • You indeed live in fantasy world that lions are as big as tigers. Lions are Scientifically classified as second largest cat. Lion fans are talking against science.

    Be it largest average,

    Be it largest wild cat,

    Be it largest captive cat,

Tigers are largest cats. Lions are second in rank. That doesn't mean they are second class cats. They simply don't grow as big as tigers.

Hey, You are not talking to a layman. I know great deal about lions, tigers and other big cats.

  • The National Tiger Conservation Authority calculated about 1,400 Bengal Tigers. My research also indicates about 1,200 to 1,800 Indochinese Tigers, about 700 Malayan Tigers, about 500 Sumatran & Siberian Tigers, 20 to 30 South China Tigers... That's how I did my math. All my findings were updated for 2009 or the closest population census.

  • National tiger Conservation Authority(NTCA) calculates tiger population only in India. Last cencus by NTCA left out some tiger reserves. So, you can safely add another 100 tigers with 1400. And, bengal tiger lives in Nepal, Bhutan and Western part of burma, bangladesh etc. So, WWF figure is most likely an accurate one. Your research on Indochinese Tiger is doubtful and likely based on past estimates which you most likely got from wiki. WWF figure is current one and most authentic estimates.

  • Finally u can't say that every large lion that is weighed & exceeds 250 kgs was exaggerated by a hunter, or the Guinness Book of World Record's lion would have also been an exaggeration... That would be like me telling u that every large Siberian or Bengal Tiger to exceed that weight is an exaggeration by poachers... That's not always the case.

  • According to my research, the Zimbabwe records don't indicate that weights came from hunters, but i will check on that.

  • I didn't tell Zimbabwe lion weight comes from hunters. Another scientific study gives 175 kg for Zimbabwe lions. So, 202 kg weight is doubtful. And, i know where you got all these weights and its source.

  • No there was a new study on 18 male Transvaal Lions... That's where I got my number on those lions.... Also if u go by population count per tiger subspecies, then 4 of the 6 subspecies of Tiger make up most of the population. And according to my research the average lion will be larger than the average Sumatran, Indochinese, Malayan, & the unfortunate South China Tiger; thus making lions bigger in a general term....

  • You are most likely confusing 18 zimbabwe lions weight with Transvaal lions. Transvaal lion weight comes from old hunter records for 5 specimens.

Haha.....You live in fantasy world. You know what, African lions are not one sub-species. There are about 5 living subspecies of african lions.

    P. l. senegalensis (West African Lion)

    P. l. azandica (Northeast Congo Lion)

    P. l. nubica (East African or Massai Lion)

    P. l. bleyenberghi (Southwest African Lion)

    P. l. krugeri (Southeast African Lion)

  • And, you have

    P. l. persica (Asiatic Lion)

They are all smaller than Bengal/siberian tigers. Bengal and siberian constitute more than 50% of tiger population.

Now mofoprada, give up your ego and stop acting like fanatic. Accept scientific fact and give due credit to tigers as world's largest cat. That is good for you.

  • Also Bengal Tigers & Siberian Tigers don't make up more than 50 % of tiger populations. The National Tiger Conservation Authority has estimated there to be about 1,400 Bengal Tigers in the wild. There are about 500 Siberian Tigers left. About 1,200 to 1,800 Indochinese Tigers left, about 600 to 800 Malayan Tigers left, about 500 Sumatran Tigers left, and sadly about 20 to 30 South China Tigers left. If u do the math the other 4 subspecies make up more than 50% of tigers...

  • According to worlds leading conservation organization WWF (worldwildlife(dot)org),

Current tiger populations in world (by taking lower limit of their population) is,

    736 (Indo-Chinese tigers)

    491 (Malay)

    400 (Sumatran tiger)

    few individual ( South-China tiger)

    431 ( Siberian tiger)

    1841 ( Bengal tiger)

    Now do your math.

  • Well u say that lions from Waza Park average about 145 kg. Well lions from Kruger Park average 190 kg (about 420 lb), lions from Rhodesia average 193 kg (about 425 lb), Lions from Kalahari average 188 kg (about 414 lb), lions from Zimbabwe average 202 kg (about 445 lb), and lions from Transvaal averaged 217 kg (about 477 lb). Sure in some areas lions will weigh around 150 kg but that could be easily caused by a lack in food. What I'm trying to say is correct an average lion weighs about 400 lbs.

  • I don't deny about Kruger, Rhodesia, Kalahari lions. I already know their average. So-called 202 kg zimbabwe lion is quite unreliable, as another study gives 175 kg average for these lions. And, Transvaal lion(5 specimens) weight comes from Old hunter records. Unreliable !

  • All of these weights are from the last 30 to 40 years... U said that NO LION has ever reached 250 KG. I just found u several lions from different regions in Africa that HAVE EXCEEDED the weight of 250 KG. The only research that is from the past was for the Barbary Lion since humans hunted them down in the wild, that's wat forced me to go back to the 18th & 19th century... U are making all the statements, I'm finding proof to just about everything u say.

  • For the record, according to a Peter Jackson reporting the largest captive lion weighed 432 kg. (950 lbs.).... Everything I'm giving you is all fact, not bullshit. If u don't accept it then ur in denial. Tigers are large & powerful, but lions have the same potential... U just have to realize that.

  • Peter Jackson's lion is unreliable. The largest captive lion in Guiness record is 826 lb simba. The Largest captive tiger in Guinness record is 1025 lb Jaipur. That is about 200 pound difference. Lions don't have same potential as tigers.

  • Barbary Lions have not been weighed by scientists, since they are exist in the wild. But they are estimated to reach weights of 600 lbs. & over, based on confirmed Barbary Lions in captivity, as well as estimates from Barbary Lions killed in the 1700s & 1800s. There lions found across Africa that weighed over 250 kg. In Kenya a lion was shot in the 70s and it weighed 272 kg. (about 600 lbs.), in Transvaal another lion weighed 251 kg (553 lbs.), & in S.A. another lion weighed 264 kg. (585 lbs.)..

  • Barbary lions was not weighed, so estimation about these lions can't be taken as fact. It is also disputed by other experts that barbary lion weights were exaggerated and they are merely as large as other african lions. Transvaal lion and S.A. lion weight comes from hunter records, quite unreliable. The so-called 272 kg lion is also unreliable, as the guy who weighed the lion could not confirm the weight and he sends contradictory emails about this lion.

  • U CAN'T say that the tiger in GENERAL is the larger cat based on supposedly only "one" captured Sumatran Tiger. Im giving the simple facts & the average lion will be larger than 4 of 6 average subspecies of tiger.. Sure some Sumatran Tigers will be above average, but Im comparing the average size of these cats. And an average lion is larger than the majority of tiger subspecies. Im doing this in a general term not on a rare abnormality. Get that through ur head before u make a fool of yourself!!

  • Bengal tiger(Panthera tigris tigris) is most common sub-species of tiger. So, When scientists say tigers are largest cat, they usually mean Bengal tigers. And, more than 50% of wild tiger population constitute Bengal and Siberian tigers. So, it is reasonable to say tigers are larger than lions in general terms. And, not all African lions average 400 lbs. East African Waza park lions average 145 kg, that is 5 kg smaller than scientifically weighed 150 kg wild sumatran tiger.

  • No lion has ever reached over 250 kg??? I think ur the one in denial!!! According to the Guinness Book of World Records the largest official wild lion ever weighed was one male killed by Lennox Anderson, near Hectorspruit, Transvaal, South Africa. It weighed 313 kg. (about 690 lbs.).... Look up the Guinness Book of World Records, ur statements are proving my point....

  • I am talking about modern scientific records. What you have mentioned is old hunter records. Don't forget the largest tigers in Guinness record is 389 kg bengal tiger &384 kg siberian tiger. That is more than 70 kg difference between largest tigers and largest record lion. So, lions don't reach as big as tigers. That is first point. After scientific research has started in last 3 to 4 decades, not one lion reached 250 kg, out of more than 100 male lions weighed by scientists.

  • The tiger that u mentioned in those locations is the Bengal Tiger & I told u that several South East African Lions have been known weigh around 600 lbs. Thats about the same size of a large & healthy Bengal Tiger. And the Barbary Lion is known weigh & sometimes exceed 600 lbs that's is as large if not a little smaller than the Siberian Tiger. Again im giving u facts that I researched. If u don't accept these facts then u are denying the fact that lions are just as big if not bigger than tigers.

  • No, lions are not as big as tiger. Lions are second largest cat. No lion weighs 600 lbs. That's a myth. Out of more than 100 lions scientifically captured and weighed till data from various park from africa, not one lion reached 250 kg. One is 3 or 4 bengals reach 250 kg. It is you who live in denial and refuse to give credit to largest cat tiger . Lion fanatics want to make the universal scientific fact as controversial. That will not work.

  • No barbary lion was weighed by Scientists. So, It is a myth barbary lions are largest lions. According to some experts, barbary lion weights were exaggerated, they are just as large as east african lions.

  • I'm not smoking anything, i'm giving u some tiger & lion facts... In general terms, lions are just as big if not bigger than tigers. There are 6 living subspecies of tigers & the average lion is larger than 4 of the 6 subspecies. An average lion (weighing about 400 lbs.) is larger than the average Indochinese Tiger (about 360 lbs). The same goes 4 the average Malayan Tiger (about 264 lbs.), the Sumatran Tiger (also about 264 lbs.) & the South China Tiger ( about 335 lbs.). These are all facts...

  • Sumatran tiger is supposed to be smallest tiger sub-species. But, the only one sumatran tiger captured by scientists weighed 150 kg. That is larger than the average 145 kg Waza park african lions. Tigers are largest cats. That is scientific fact. Hollywood movies like Lion King, Narnia brainwash young people about lion. Lions are second in rank to tiger in many aspect from Size to strength.

  • Tigers are not the biggest cat. If u compare the average lion against the average tiger, the average lion (about 400 lbs) is larger than 4 of the 6 subspecies of tiger. Then if u compare the South East African Lion (some known to weigh at least 600 lbs) against the Bengal Tiger, their size appears to be equal. Finally if u compare the Barbary Lion (which can exceed 600 lbs) against the Siberian Tiger (can also exceed 600 lbs) its pretty even. Its closer than u tiger fans think....

  • What are you smoking ? Tigers are largest and Strongest cat. It is Scientific fact. Largest weight record for captive and wild cat belong to tigers. The difference between largest lion and largest tiger is more than 150 pounds. Tiger average in scientific record is 235kg(Nepal tigers), 238(Central india), 228 (Southern Indian). Largest recorded average weight for Lion is 193 kg Rhodesia lions. As you see Tigers are largest cats in scientific records. If you don't accept it, You are a Fanatic.

  • It is pointless to talk about barbary lions. No one has weighed barbary lion. According to some experts, Barbary lion weight is highly exaggerated and Barbary lion was similar in size to the lions in East Africa. East African lions average 175 kg.

  • hey sam009tiger do u have a problem with me being a lion fan??? Because I can give u give u some facts why lions are just as big & powerful as tigers... Just let me know.

  • as big & powerful as tigers ? No, not true. Tigers are biggest and strongest cat. Lion gets second rank . That is scientific fact which many lion fans find it hard to swallow.

  • lion is taller¡¡¡ and powerfull

  • Indeed difference between these two cats are marginal. Both has relatvely similar anatomy, body size and weight. So the result will depend upon individual animal. For example the outcome of fight between lion and tiger with same weight is much closer to 50x50 whereas you cannot say same things to brown vs black bear, (both himalayan and asian) or with the case when cheetah vs leopard

  • YES, but the lion is taller¡¡¡ despite the weight

  • this mofoprada is another lionfanatic

  • well though i understand ur point, but visual estimation can sometimes lead to so form of exaggeration, no matter how much experience one have... i've personally seen tigers up & close & on several occasions i thought that the animal was around 500 lbs. only to be told that it was around 420 to 430 lbs... that's why i would prefer if the animal was actually weighed before i can believe it....

  • when u mean estimated do u mean that they actually weighed it??? Because if it is just estimated by looking at it then that's not a good estimation, that's basically wat i just did...

  • The weight was estimated by experienced people like naturalist, park rangers who see the tigers all the time in few feet distance. Their estimation is most likely closer to tiger's actual weight, if not exact weight. Your estimation is based on seeing a video, their estimation is based on first hand experience in seeing the tiger few feet distance.

  • that tiger is no where near 300 kg... i want proof stating that this tiger is 300 kgs.. he appears to be about 210 to 240 kgs, the normal weight of a bengal tiger... that should be the weight of that bengal tiger... the largest that a bengal tiger gets is about 250 to 260 kgs (about 550 to 570lbs)...

  • B2 was estimated to be near 300 kg Bandhavgarh park naturalist Mr.sharad vats and park rangers.

2 Bengal tigers from nepal bottomed out 270 kg scale. That means they are larger than 270 kgs. 1 bengal tiger from central india bottomed out the 250 kg scale, actual weight is larger than 250 kgs. Bengal tigers can grow to 300 kg and more than that in rare cases.

  • i love tiger

  • 300kg bengal tiger is a very rare site

  • lol i love your user name

  • hehe...thanks!

  • oh no sorry not yours. teeehee

  • Damn thats a huge bengal tiger!!...my favorite animal.

  • B2 in his prime, could have handled 2 lions at once

  • says the tiger fan

  • i noticed tigers are so rare in the wild when you see a tiger you don't say oh theres a tiger every tiger has a name the most famous is a female callied machli

  • I heard that tigers from Kaziranga National Park of Assam are bigger than any other tigers in India, probably including B2...

  • that's true

  • According to Dr. Sunquist, a camera trap survey in kaziranga reveals very large looking tigers, largest of the bengal tigers. This is due to the extreme food abundance in kaziranga, unmatched by any other parks in prey density.

  • Madla is bigger than B2.

  • no b2 is bigger

  • No man, B2 is only 302 kg, he looks smaller than Madla in the pics I got. Madla is way above 300 kg, probaly 325-330 kg.

  • no b2 is bigger than Madla.

have you seen his recent pictures or are you just talking out of your ass? I seen both b2 and Madla in the Wild.

    b2 > Hairyfoot > Madla

  • Of course I'm talkin about both the pic and the videos. I've tons of B2 pics at home,he looks bigger in recent years, and a few of Madla. madla is bigger than B2, period. in fact, Bokha of Bandhvagarh is also bigger than B2, and is more on par with Madla. yes, B2's big, but Madla's huge, his neck is 90 cm, far bigger than that of 80cm of a 272 kg Nepal tiger. And Chundawat said Hairyfoot's bigger than Madla, so there you go.

  • king of beasts !

  • this tiger was weighed by M,Sharad of Bandhavgarh and he came out to be 302kg.

He's the son of Charger and the Brother of B1.

    B1 died from poaching.

B2 is about 32kg heavier than his father charger who weighed 270kg/

  • i agree with arunta882 its 3ookg and chan did you weigh the tiger how did you get the figure 245kg from

  • Find a info about B2..

B2 is a grandson of Charger which dominated

    bandavgar for 10years.

B2 is youger brother of B1.

    B1 died of poaching..

  • I love tigers

so I need a correct info.

  • hahahahaha, 245 kg, you know nothing about tigers. 302 kg is the weight, period.

And, B2 is Charger's son, not grandson.

  • Monster Tiger. Realy big!

  • its 300kg...The park officials gave the weight..

  • he looks like he's embarassed at all the attention hes getting

  • This guy is an over 600 pound lump of muscle!

I guess some impressive saber-tooths cats like Megantereon or smilodon fatalis(both famous for their robustness) must have looked like him in build.

  • He's a beast!

  • great!!!!!!!!
