Angel face...as the Queen she had the right to protect her Life...because it would be too stupid to risk her life...she did her duties as a Queen...during the WW2..stop criticising people!what wld u do in her place?
Thank you so much for showing this, though I prefer the photographs to the paintings! Most of the paintings aren't good, in my humble opinion! Rest in peace, your majesty
Once the war began, she was rebranded as a symbol of Britain's heroic resistance to the Nazis, but what did she actually do? Unlike everyone else, she didn't live on rations, but was fattened by pheasants and venison on the royal estates. She didn't stay in bombed-out London very much, anything like as much as the myth suggests: she spent much of the war in Windsor, Norfolk and Scotland, far from the Nazi planes, surrounded by battalions of servants.
@z9kobs It's strange to here you say that, Sir or Ma'am. The Queen went out almost every day to visit the people and places that were the most heavily bombed. She did so so regularly that that the government asked her to stop temporarily because the Germans were tracking her as a way of figuring out where their bombs had landed. Her morale boosting to the British Public was so important that Hitler called her "...the most dangerous woman in Europe." She could have gone abroad, but refused..
Wonderful video -- but what's the name of that tune? (A blessed respite from all the rock music on YouTube &elsewhere!) Perfect pictures -- but I would have liked to see more of her as a YOUNGER woman, as well. She did so much, and saw so much, in a very long life -- her words, "the children won't go without me, I won't go without the King, & the King will never go." r the essence of bravery...allowing one's children to face danger out of patriotism! Her memory will last forever and ever!
A truly great and well-made video of our beloved Queen Mother.
Really rare & wonderful photos - portraits i must admit that although i have a huge Royal collection of Royal Family members photos there are some on this video i have never seen before.
I also liked the classical piece, Bach is one of my favourites, Bach's music is not only extremely well planned and "intellectualized" with a good reason why every note is where it is, it is also among the most satisfying music ever created.
She was more beautiful in her young years than I thought she'd be. (I mean that in a good way) Love the pic of her playing pool!

With all the money that the royal family has, I don't understand, why she didn't get her teeth fixed, or buy dentures

@z9kobs She wouldn't send her children either; she and the king visiting them at Windsor castle, when they were able to do so.

What a wonderful tribute to the person who is likely the most beloved Queen Consort that the United Kingdom ever had.
