  • You are doing a great job Rebecca...

  • Thanks you so much Rebecca :)

  • thank you teacher.

  • exelent work, congratilations!

  • I think 'thank you kindly' should be banished back into the wilderness from whence it came!

It's really hardly ever used, apart from the stereotypical Irish man who simply cannot just give thanks on it's own.

    I’d like to spank

    Those oafs behindly

    Who don’t just “thank…”

    But “thank you kindly.”

  • I've also heard : thank you very much indeed' instead of " thank you very much " hope that both ones r equally correct

  • I O U 1 for posting such a knowledgeable video.

  • Hello Rebecca! I´ve been studying your lessons, and sincerely I have to say I can´t thank you enough!, great videos and really interesting topics, not common in a normal class. I hope to remember all of your tips in my TOEFL test.

  • hmmmm.... uve put this on utube half the people on here say THANKS! and are not posh kids who went 2 a private school

  • who says thank you kindly seriously lol I haven't heard that one before... Making it too complicated for english learners lady.

  • You're a great teacher!

  • what is deffrent thanks and thank u plz send messege

  • Thank you for your video clip has uploaded on internet to everyone around the world learn English like me! Thank you so much engvid.com

  • i can not thank you enough

  • cool.

  • Students should be careful, because sometimes "Thanks a lot!" can be sarcastic, depending on tone. You might offend someone by accident.

  • This is not informal or formal - it doesn't exist in this scenraio or many others that ESL teachers preach. Good friends in an "informal" setting wouldn't think twice before saying "thank you for alll your help."

And you forgot "you shouldn't have"

Don't forget to thank me for my comment!!!

  • Thank you very much

  • Ta love :)

  • Dear teacher, I want to get some clear idea about the appropriate use of "Thank you kindly". Would you please help me in this case?

My sincere thanks to you in advance

  • Thanks a bunch!

  • Thanks a million ;)

  • I dont know how to thank you

  • Thank you Rebbecca !!!

  • I have never heard anyone say "thank you kindly", it must be rare.

  • @winstono75 you're right - the only people who use thank you kindly are ESL teachers especially those from other countries who don't really know. It's not only extremely rare but when we use it we use it most "informally" i.e. as a joke. Teachers like this don't understand real usage - too busy making up lesson plans like this. Then we teach their former students and the learners go into shock and can't understand why their "teachers" spent so much time on things like this.

  • I wonder if people are just as quick to see, find or admit their own mistakes. It's obvious some of the replies listed are by people who love to find fault in others - you must be a joy to live with!! Be an encourager and watch how blessed you'd become. Always with love, God bless.

  • @jazzyjeffshirl I wonder if people realize the reason people are quick to point out errors is those people are concerned about the people who are trying to learn something new. Imagine trying to learn a new language and because someone has not pointed out errors or misuse or imagined rules, you go out and make embarrassing mistakes. Then, you learn that what you had learned was a mistake? Would you not lose confidence in the forum which taught you that mistake? See good intentions!

  • i really admire your work , you have been very helpful..... thank you

  • Your lecture is short but its content is a lot. I can't thank you enough:D

  • thank you very much indeed

  • cool video.

You added an extra word in the last statement.

  • Yes, actually, I apologized for this several comments ago. Good for you that you noticed and thanks for the feedback.

  • @RebeccaESL , yes a saw the mistake,but now i can say a lot of ways: thanks

  • Duz you're website teach a people how do spell and use a gramma to? I hope it duz so I can get betterer to learn it. LOL

  • Dear teacher I would like to ask if its correcdt to say thank you for all your help or it must be thank you for your all your help?

    thanks in advance

  • Again, the first one is correct. I am sorry but I made a mistake on the board. It should say,

Thank you for all your help.

    Thanks to you for noticing.

  • Happy New Year from Italy :)))

  • Same to you!

  • Thank you very much. Happy new year ))

  • Happy New Year to all of you. May 2010 be a radiant year in which your highest dreams are fulfilled.

  • a lot of Thanks.

Happy New Year to YOU too,,

Best wishes for You todays and always

  • I am so glad to know that my viewers are paying such close attention!

Congratulations to you. Yes, I have made a mistake on the board; the last line should read,

" Thank you for all your help."

My sincere apologies, and good for you that you were able to point that out to me. It means your English is quite good. All the best to you.

  • Ma'am, Thanks for your very kind response.

Actually, the Grammatical portion of English language has been my great interest, thats why i was able to find a little mistake, I love to read, listen, write and watch enlish language lessons.

Hope to see more and more from you.

  • Ma'am Rebecca, I've a question, the Last sentence " Thank you for your all your help" seems wrong to me, because the word 'Your' is used 2 times, and that doesn't make sense, I feel.

Let us know kindly, if am I wrong or right.

    Thanks for this video

  • @u2jeo u're right, when she says the last sentence she pronounces it like this: "thank you for all your help". It was a lil mistake but it could cause some stress to new learners

  • @u2jeo

"Thank you for all your help."

    The other your is wrong.

  • i don´t know how to thank you for all your help

  • Thank you so much for your lessons :) Happy New Year ;D
