word? well...open office for linux lets u open and save things to word like documents so i wudnt say it's impossible it's pretty damn good in compatibility although sometimes it isn't perfect the only thing i'd say is that WORD kills OO in spell checking... thats the only superior thing i noticed in it. Open office is better to me (i have it installed on windows) becuase it wi,ll also let u create PDFs (for free). Not bad for freeware.
Jaunty is more recent, The Ubuntu family are named after animals going down the alphabet, so Hardy was Hardy Heron and then there was Intrepid Ibex and the current one is Jaunty Jackalope, soon to come is K but I am not currently aware of what that is called, a quick google search should get you an answer if you want it.
u could have omitted the startup scripts and the log in screen and showed more functionality.. you only proved ur HW sucks here.. but ubuntu studio is remarkable =),,,download it as u would any other opensource software,, from the vendors or community
It took a looong time to figure out how to make a boot CD *redface* but it only took me a little while to install it. I don't have this version yet though, I only had an older version of Ubuntu.
yeh im definately going to install this... ive been playin with ubuntu at my friend's house, but this version seems to offer a bit more. I just hope that the startup will be faster, as 1min45sec is a long time!
MULTI tack, what are you trying to say?If you can't use word do not use my time!

The startup takes forever. But besides that it would have the potential to be a Vista killer - if it wasn't for M$'s monopoly.

Recording a screen of a computer with an external camera will result shit record.
I use VirtualBox for "emulation" and recordMyDesktop. After this, I use mencoder for put good levels of quality, like resolution, compression, etc.

How did you record the video starting froom boot? external camera? or some programmed tweak?
